What Airmatic setting do you drive in?

Just wondering what airmatic setting you guys drive in?

I drive in Raised Up mode all the time. Comfort setting.

My car is star lowered so when raised up, its up but, not as high as it could be.

Ive been doing this for awhile now, I feel using your car often, not letting the car sit for long periods of time is not only good for the motor and lubricated parts of the car. I like to think it helps mantain the airmatic also. Kinda like giving it exercise so things don't freeze up and become dried out etc etc.

Any thoughts?

S1 90% of the time
Comfort when I have family in
S2 when I feel a little extra adrenaline

I usually do S2 with manual mode. Up mode for gas station or inclines/driveways, never driven on. STAR lowered here

Comfort nearly all the time, raised mode if snow is on the ground, and occasionally S1.

Comfort at all times.

Roads are way too messy for anything else.

Not lowered.

PS: Clean looking 55. Sweet a*s rims. Off the 63?

S1 here. And raise it twice a trip to get in and out of my garage. Love those wheels, have same ones brand new sitting in garage. Can't wait to mount the tires.

What wheel tire combo? Mine is in need of new rims and those would fit the bill quite nicely.

I've honestly never taken the car out of S2 short of just seeing what the differences were between them. I wish S2 was still a bit stiffer too, probably would have gone to coil overs if the car wasn't under warranty. Occasionally use the raise for driveways and to get my jack under the car. I'm on lowering links.

at some point, I accidentally aligned it in S2, and then proceeded to mostly drive in the raised setting (Don't bother, I kicked myself enough over this). I proceeded to ruin two expensive front tires faster than you can say dumb ***.

I am now realigning it in S1 and leave it there.

S2 100% of the time with a 1.25" drop upfront and a .8" drop in the rear. Never raise it up.

so what happens when you're in S2 and press air lift? i never understood does it max it out then bring you back to S2? or does it raise 10mm from S2 bringing you to stock?

As Heissrod implied, raising it always brings it to max height, no matter where you started out. I have actually measured it, and it is true.

With the car stationary, I have not measured a height difference between S1 and S2. I do not know what happens when the car is moving though.

Are you certain that the car will raise all the way even when you are lowered with star? When the numbers are altered to achieve desired ride height. Then shouldn't it just raise past whatever it thinks stock ride height should be?

My car when raised up it's up as mentioned. BUt, doesn't seem like it goes up as high as it used to when stock.

I would say that it depends on if you used the washer method to move the sensors, which would lower the Raised height, or a lowering module, which I am not sure how this would affect the Raised height.

I'm lowered via star and I've had it on S2 for the last 10 years only changing whenever I go to the strip or take the wheels off for cleaning.

If I'm on smooth highway I go S1 because I don't like how floaty the steering wheel feels in C. I'll go comfort if the road is crappy, I feel like the suspension is under less stress when the surface is rough. S2 when I'm feeling fast..

Not to change this thread into a racing thread....but I never understood the science behind launching at the drag strip in Comfort setting. Don't you want to be as low to the ground as possible and have the least amount of play in the suspension when launching? Can somebody explain....

I'm no physicist, but in theory, a softer suspension promotes weight transfer which helps rear traction.
