Stock ride height/Airmatic questions

Ok, so i know the stock ride height should be 26.25 in front and 26 rear. But sometimes when i park the front is more towards 26.5 and the rear 26.25. Im sure the surface has a lot to do with it, but should is this something i should be concerned about?

Not something to worry about. The system is constantly readjusting the level of the car. Did you measure that soon after you exited the car?

I'm actually laughing a little that you're concerned about a ¼".

Lol man i hit a few pot holes recently got me a little bit paranoid. Just a side question, will alignment bring my car back to factory height?

The "alignment" is nothing more than checking the toe-in of the wheels and, if necessary, adjusting them. Nothing to do with height.

But...you will still be charged as if the shop were actually aligning your suspension....

This is the area of Mercedes where I wish they would fire the bean counters and put some engineers in charge. A $100K car and no ability to adjust the suspension? Good grief!

indy is charging me $150 for an alignment, I need one anyways. Car drifts the right considerably. Anything to look out for to make sure no leaks or damages?

Well, now that you've mentioned that you hit a pot hole and the car pulls to the right, you could have a bent suspension piece which could also be causing the height discrepancy.

Cool thanks. I do have a warranty, so if anything goes wrong I hope it is soon. Any way of checking bent suspension components besides taking it to a shop?

So apparently somebody put in my camber bolts in the wrong way which is causing my alignment to drift violently to the right...does that make sense?

Put them in the wrong way or they were affected by the pothole?

Not caused by the pothole.. I took my car in for an alignment today and the tech told me the previous guy who did the alignment prior put the bolts in the wrong way. I questioned this as they had to charge me an extra 1 hr of labor..

So how is your alignment and height now? Height is still affected by the level of the surface the car is parked on.

My car use to violently pull to the right, its somewhat fixed after doing the alignment. Sometimes when i come to a stop, i have to turn my steering wheel slightly to make the car drive straight. Shop also told me Mercedes will always have a slight pull to the right

Make sure you have exact same psi in your tires. Mine pulled to the right hard-core I needed 10psi in passenger tire. Drives perfectly straight depending on the pitch of the road

Does the E55 have the tire pressure monitor on the speedo cluster?
