Lost power after filling up with fuel.
Ok so this is the second time in a row this has happened to me now. The car is running fine I'm low on fuel so I go to the servo and fill up. Immediately after the car has no power and splutters and bogs down every time I try giving it more than 50% normal driving seems fine. Now this will happen until about 2 bars of fuel are used up. Wtf is going on here?
UPDATE!!!
SO the car as been fine for 5 months or so. I drove to the servo and the car was running perfect, I filled up and payed ect came out started the car and instantly I could tell by the sound of start up I was going to have an issue. Drove out and same problem. Crusing along is fine but as soon as you get it a little I get a very weird exhaust note sort of like a popping sound through the exhaust like a revlimiter, Also this time around I have a new issue added, hard cornering now causes the car to bog down and start to stall like it has ran out of fuel even tho it has half a tank! Any ideas guys?

I checked the purge valve and it's still doing it. I can't check fuel pressure atm as I don't have a gauge. It's also very very jerky between gears and acceleration at about 3000-4000 rpms. It's driving me insane atm it's like when your sc pump ****s itself along with a choking sound/sputtering/slight popping sound

Pull up the rear seat after you fill up and under the fuel pump covers see if gas is leaking past the electrical connector causing a bad connection until the level goes down

Have you checked STAR error codes? Did you check the fuel pumps? These cars log when your trunk light bulb burns out. It knows what is going on...

SOLVED
so it was a combination of a usual faulty fuel pump leak on the right hand side. And a partly broken plastic male fitting on the left hand side pump the hose slides on to. When you lightly touch it fuel sprays everywhere

Glad you got it sorted mate. I am just replacing both units now myself with the same issue.. First replaced the fuel sender and now the fuel pump unit on the right side.. Seems like 10 yrs is the limit on these parts and they go bad, Brittle and break..
