Thanks. I agree that the Darton sleeves are the way to go. Looks like really good quality stuff!

Thanks! Me too lol

Well I asked Weistec for 10:1 c/r custom pistons but it seems like they sent me 9:1

With a good launch I could see this happening. I'd be happy

On a test run on Jerrys first file any boost above 17psi is bled off (I was running over 20psi before) and I only saw a max of 15 degrees timing on C16 (I was above 20 before). Maybe IAT's played a role in the timing but just based on that one pull the tune numbers look conservative. His AFR were right on the money on the first try! I was really impressed! Now to up the timing and maybe boost. Gonna do some more testing, it feels fast but I want actual data to determine just how fast it is

Yeah nice man. It's good you keep pushing this platform. Looking forward to some sub 10's.

EDIT: Just read someone suggested a pool - I'll take 9.94 thanks...

Thanks! Now if I can get the tune dialed in and traction I can hopefully get a good 1/4 mile time. I don't expect it to be fast the first time out. Have to work out the bugs.

Can I has this motor for free after you finish building it?

How much do the Darton sleeves cost by the way?

Gonna have to pass on that one. Motor is already done. Just tuning left.

Darton prices vary depending on where you get them done.

A little pull with 15 degrees of timing and 17PSI on hoosier drag radials to 100+

One of my favorite cars to watch over the years... Seems like in the past you've been knocking on the door of history, now it seems like you have showed up with a battering ram to knock down the door and wall... Get it!

Also if you have a date for the track rental in August, I'd be down to drive down.

Ahmad - glad to see she's finally buttoned up and broken in! It's been a long dry drought. I just got back from my trip out to Colorado Springs. 1700 mi. trip back to stress test the set up. Cory did a fantastic job. Didn't throw a single MIL the entire trip (had a system lean light come on when I dropped off the mountains but it was quickly reset). Look forward to catching up at the track one of these days. Welcome back!

How much boost can you get with weistec blower?

Surprised to see you didn't go turbo instead. If power and speed is what you'reafter after

The blower will most likely prove better for getting off the line in a heavy car. Not to say you can't 60' well with turbos but that instant torque is a huge asset here.

That, and also so few have gotten turbos to work well.

Even on the CTSVs , which are a breeze to tune in comparison to Mercedes. The turbo boys just can't get them to 60' like the blowers.

Now I hope Redbulljunky makes an ******* out of me and wheelies through the 60' this weekend

Thanks. Cory is awesome. Glad you had a good experience. I still miss my Kleemann sc!

I was seeing 21psi on my stock motor. Boost is just a measure of restriction. My new tune bleeds off any boost above 17psi.

There are no turbo kits available. The Weistec sc was available and I love the instant torque

Send it to RBJ and he will send you a monster. Send the motor to SBAL while you're at it too.

I heard that.. Instant torque launches are great. But, turbos have that top end pull but especially from the 1/8 to the 1/4 is insane.. And roll races, there is no contest. I love superchargers. But turbos can be spooled up on the launch with anti lag.

60 foot is important, it plays a huge roll especially up to the 1/8. But, Ive seen people launch hard with evenly matched cars and turbos say bye bye once they get up in higher gears.

This build deserves a lot of credit! Thanks for answering my question Ahmad. Hope I spelled that right. Good to finally see someone step up and build out one these 3L blower kits with forged internals. GL!
