Trading my W211 E63 for the CLA45 2015
Any thoughts? I can't take the pano roof in my car anymore. It feels like I am driving around with few screws missing.
Is the CLA a big downgrade? I used to have a heavily modded C32 and I miss it alot.

Newer technology, pretty close performance wise and AWD...with a tune it can be just as quick if not quicker than stock. Only thing I would miss is the sound of the V8..

its a huge down grade. from e to lower than c.
and no its not even close in performance. you are trading in the m156 for a barely amg

2014 CLS 63 S AMG / 2004 E55 AMG
I have an 04 E55 and a CLA45. Overall, they are just completely different cars.
The CLA is a very well balanced sports car. Its suspension, brakes, and sound are great, and it has respectable power with smooth delivery. A tune and intake makes it a very fast car. While the automatic transition shifts later than I'd like sometimes, the transmission overall is very nice.
Although it's getting dated, the E55 has more luxury and features than the CLA. There's more straight line power, a ton more torque as well.
Overall, they are just different cars, and you couldn't go wrong with either.

Yup imop the cla does not belong in the mercedes line up. Would have been better suited as a kia or Hyundai. Lots of tacky stuff going on inside that interior. And way to small to be a useful four door. The exterior is the only thing going on for it

My Freind has one
It's not as bad as u think. I was actually pretty impressed with it. I would buy it as a good daily
But I don't think of it as a replacement for an E55
If you're in your 20somethings then the CLA45 is a good car
I just think the marque has lost its direction with its recent list of amg offerings
That's why I got a ford

This place is a joke.
Have you driven a CLA45? I can tell you, it's not impressive in the power department, especially after coming out of a modified E55. Maybe to the ricer crowd it "feels fast" coming from an economy car owner who thinks they have a race car...It's a whole different car than any RWD Mercedes, let alone a REAL AMG model, and the CLA in my opinion feels and looks more like a Hyundai than a Mercedes. It's certainly devaluing the brand. It' not a luxury car; I think the CLA 250 is a piece of crap, and as a matter of fact it seems like not much more than a re-engineered Dodge Dart (aka modern day Neon.) If you ever have the chance, look at the brakes on a Dodge Dart and a CLA250,they are IDENTICAL!! The CLA45 does make the car at least tolerable, but I was left underwhelmed when I drove it. Just my opinion of course, maybe you'll like it.

After that, not a squeak, rattle or pop sound coming from the roof. And it's been that way for the past 6+ years. Even very faint rattles drive me crazy, so I know how that problem could ruin things for you.
Good luck on the CLA!

I changed my mind with the CLA45. The dealer is offering 22K for my E63 with 44K miles. The offer Price felt like I got raped in the ***.
aside from that, they offered $980 a month for lease and $1030 for purchase with 0 down.
