Thumbs up Video of Meziere vs Rule 2000 vs Meziere + Rule 2000

I made a video of my pumps. This was done with the engine off, just drawing power from the battery.

My intercooler is modified to a single pass core and larger hose fittings added. The entire system is running 3/4" hose. I had the brass hose barb fittings bored out while I was at a machine shop and my trunk tank is running some nice high flow stainless steel fittings. I wanted to minimize any restrictions, so there are no 90 degree fittings and all bends are large radius to prevent kinks.

I'm considering adding an inline flow meter just for science.

Take a look at the flow. The sound might make you want to pee.

Cool to know both alone seem to flow similar. Both running together obviously makes the most flow. Glad I run both with my setup

Nice job! It looks and sounds like my running toilet bowl setup. No 90 degree fittings is the way to go. I don't know why more guys don't do this

Make sure you monitor your temps. If the water is flowing too fast without pressure there will be no heat transfer.

I have the same setup as Denroll, temp differences between using one pump or both are negligible from what I have seen on the zeitronix data logs. Typically 15F above ambient during cruising. Of course during a WOT pull the temps go up considerably but recover very quickly.

I have the same pump setup. I have a piece of 3/4" threaded PVC with a cap off the return. It is has 2 rows of 1/4" holes drilled on a 45 degree angle along the bottom with a few 1/2" holes along the bottom center. This allows the water to quietly refill the tank with little splashing as its also submerged. The impact on flow with the 2 pumps is minimal. After running a one mile event ice would melt but water was still very cool. I hot lapped for my best speed, it didn't lose any power. The dual pump-tank setup really helps quite a bit.

The holes are normally down, ...just rotated up for the pic.

Interesting. If I get tired of the noise or if it causes too many pee breaks, I might try something like that.

Peeing like a russian race horse. I usually flow the hose into a gallon jug and test how many GPM it flows. 4gpm is real good and more is better. All 90 deg bends and angles have to be removed for max flow.

More is not better. Too much flow is bad. And how do you remove "all" bends or angles? lol

I can see where that makes sense, if theres too much flow then the fluid doesn't sit in the heat exchanger long enough to be cooled. However from what I have logged with regards to the particular pumps in use, there isn't much of a difference in temps between running one or two pumps. I'm sure if a higher flowing pump was installed to replace these then there very well may be a reduction in cooling effects.

Heat transfer increases with velocity, but pressure decreases. These pumps don't move fluid at a velocity fast enough to drop pressure to the point where it will negatively affect heat transfer.

You sure about that? There is such a thing as too much velocity

Wasn't there a thread with documents or some such detailing various pumps specifications and affects on heat transfer etc? I can't recall exactly, but it went into quite some detail.
