car squeaking from right rear
also when i drive at low speeds it continually seems to squeaks thought it was maybe the parking brake or brakes them selves but applying both while driving changed nothing.
any ideas?
Typically if I put some flex on the chassis when backing out of an inclined driveway or going over some speedbumps, I can hear it "creak" and only from the rear-right area.
I'm sure you higher mileage guys must have had some of these issues. I checked my struts and there's no evidence of any leak. They're all bone dry back there.
If I grab the bottom of the brake caliper and push/pull, I can replicate the noise 8 times out of 10. I can almost always replicate it if I use a floor jack to relieve some pressure off the tire by lifting the frame just until the tire is about off the ground, and then letting it come down slowly and hearing the "creak, creak, creak" as the car drops little by little.
It started about a month and a half ago for me. Initially it was just the noise. Now at around 80mph I can feel a TIIIIINY little vibration from that right rear tire.
And considering I just put on new Pilot Super Sports, I don't want to let this drag on.
I'll try and get a video.
