Yes, the performance shop is no longer. They are doing strictly repair and maintenance in buckhead. Custom builds are still available by appointment only at the buckhead shop.
Let me know if anyone still needs tuning and product which is still an obtainable.
My contact info is:

Wtf happened? Where am I supposed to get the rest of this stuff put on my car? Is this why no one answered when I called for a week about my headers that were dragging on the ground after installation? Or the intercooler circuit tank getting gouged by engine pulleys under torque because it was mounted too low? A week after I got them on!? I figure this wasn't some kind of surprise, but yet no one bothered to mention the shop would be gone the next week? That's some fly by night ****... Should I be giving Solo Motorsports my business from now on?

GMONEY, first off you need to relax man. I don't work at the shop so the none reply I cannot speak on. What I will say is, if you are unhappy with work done, it will be made right by Jason.
Pm or text me your issues, and I will get it taken care of. Second, BIP was open several years with great customer feedback. You obviously cannot please 100% of the people coming in the doors. You might be one of the select few that needed further adjustment after initial install so that will be handled accordingly.

Sad to hear. But, GMONEY has every right to be upset.. All those things wrong and no word that the shop was about to close or part ways. BUt, things happen and automotive business is not easy especially a performance shop. Sorry to hear for everyone involved.

Having been around these cars since 2003, I have seen way too many shops come and go along with their "newer and better" products. If you really want to deal with professionals, work with the likes of Kleemann and Renntech. I know they are more expensive but you get what you pay for. They are not actively developing new products for the W211 as the platform is simply too old and demand is too low, but the products they do still have work and work well.
I had a recent experience with a car I purchased that had a lot of modifications done by a shop that is deemed very reputable on this forum. After not getting calls back and getting a huge attitude from the previous owner I called Cory at Kleemann and received some of the best customer service I have ever gotten. He took care of my problems at a very reasonable price and with great communication. The good news for me is that Kleemann will be there for the long haul to provide support.

Everyone is going to have different experiences. I had a Renntech air box on my S600 and it was beautiful. The point that is being missed is that they are a reputable company that has been in business for many years and will most likely be in business for years to come. They stand behind their products and aren't always looking at creating the latest and greatest gadget to bolt on to your car only to go out of business shortly thereafter. The internet forums can be a bad influence on people's decisions on what modifications to perform/where to have them done. When a vendor is on a forum constantly and build alliances with frequent posters, it can look like everyone is using XXX product or tuner when in fact it is a small microcosm of people on one forum. I would rather stick with the proven, long-lasting companies that will be there to support the products they sell well into the future.

Well, renntechs C55 airbox is simply a stock airbox with a carbon fiber overlay and gutted interior. Plus they wanted my stock airbox as a core lmao..... Plus the 3k for the box and a tune.. Poor me for the lack of knowledge 10 years ago... Shame on me..... Problem here is the small market that Mercedes has plus the outrages prices on things.

I'm actually very shocked to hear this, as I've had nothing but great experiences from the shop. The crew actually went out of their way to take care of me, and i was FFFAARRRR from being the deepest pocketed customer there given the cars I was eye ****ing in their shop.

The important bridge here is the FSP - and at the core, the ECU. The rest is just regular mechanical knowledge. The important pieces are how someone has or has not taken the time to understand the tuning of the car and the ECU anomalies.
I deal with low-volume special cars in the other part of my life. We have more support even in our little niche than the E55 ever got. Its a bit sad, and makes me think the car will always be limited until someone really cracks the ECU path.

I'm shocked as well, considering I purchased a tune from them in the ending of May. I was trying to reach out to Tony myself to get something resolved with the tune and now I'm left without any help. Not throwing a jab at anyone but damn $400 down the drain.... The car was driven about 60 miles after the tune fwiw...... I praise them one day then I get screwed the next lol.
