Hi just posting to see if anybody out there is running a 180mm pulley and 80mm fixed pulley supercharger.
My mods are 550cc injector, headers no primary cats ,heat exchanger, engine bay tank ,belt wrap kit ,mezire water pump and 180mm cp.

So let me know all the opinions please.
Sounds like a bunch of heat. Do you plan on running meth?
There's a chart floating around here somewhere regarding pulley combination sizes and the relationship to blower efficiency. You may want to check that out before deciding which path to go down.

Yea I seen the chart with the 180 and 80 pulley combination around 17psi
You are running in the yellow range. You need max cooling. I hope the crank pulley is pinned with your set up. Cheap way to lower rpm and boost would be to go to a 83-84 fixed. Considering to less heat soak your car will probably be just as fast. That would put you in the same range as a 195 crank pulley.

Well I ordered a 80mm pulley I asked Shardul he said it should be fine but more heat would the killer chilled fix that or meth?
You're also pretty close to maxing out the map sensor with that setup so look out for that when you make your first pass or two. I maxed mine out testing a 175/77 combo made two test passes yadda yadda yadda now I have a new short block because of it.

and pushing the supercharger rpm and engine boost to these levels is pushing your luck. Cooling is one thing. Your engine bay tank isn't capable of doing the job. IMO your combo even with killer chiller or meth is too risky. Now look at this chart. Keep in mind the 195 crank pulley is considered very big. It's in the green. Then look where your combo is.

How about if I change the crank to 172? And run the 80mm then it should be pretty safe right?

Nothing is really "safe" but that's better than what you had planned. I would just go with a 185 crankshaft pulley and call it a day. The 185 with the killer chiller compliment each other very nicely. Cancel the sc pulley and tel Shardul to send you a 185 ASP crankshaft pulley.

I need the fixed pulley because the magnet on the supercharger isn't working took it to Weistec that's what they said . So 172 and 80mm fixed pulley combination should be fine less heat better then the 180
wouldnt fixing the magnet be cheaper than buying 2 new pulleys?
I got the sc pulley for like 250 and the smaller ring for 300 so it's the same only difference is brand new not used the magnet was like 500 used so decided to go with this route
I should have everything done by Friday hopefully !. 172mm and 80mm pulley and tuned from Weistec .
I know it's a couple years old but how's the car holding up with these pulleys?
I'm looking to do 77mm clutched with 168 crank pulley.
All feed back is needed!
Just recently got my car out the shop European Garage located in Addison IL. They did an excellent job on my AMG, she's a beast!!! Everything from having a custom machined crank pulley + water pump pulley to designing me a custom exhaust to go with my mid length headers. I also asked them to redoing the whole interior in custom black suede for the head liner, all the pillars, and sun visors. It turned out amazing the whole reason I had everything replaced was because my headliner was starting to sag. I could't have that now. I am extremely pleased with the quality of work. I also use Dash Command on my iPhone alone with a wifi obd2 plugin hooked up and it works great! I have a 181 CP and 83mm s/c pulley with a BWK, split cooling tank under hood, bigger heat exchange, cm90 pump, 550cc injectors, ECU tune. Mid length headers cat and resonator delete with 3" pipes going back. It's a night and day difference from having a bone stock AMG e55 to one with bolt on's! The car pulls like a monster!! I love it!!

it didn't work out for me weistec could never figure out the tune got my refund lol went back to 180mm tune from jerry car runs great again but I got a 170mm crank or the ring if you need it .
