The ABC cars like yours get to use the speed control setting. You can chose MPH points where you want the car to rise back to 1/2 normal ride height and a second MPH point to go to fully normal ride height. I don't think this function works on airmatic cars but not certain.

I run about a 1.2 inch drop on my R230 and by the time I am above 30mph or so, the car is back to factory ride height.

I just want the make sure we are talking about the same thing. I have looked in the programa manual, and it does not discuss the speed setting function I am referring to which is below.

So here is the set-up as I have it currently on my SL (ABC)

So my car is currently dropped 1.4 inch. at 9 mph, the car rises .7 inches. At 21 mph, it is back to normal ride height. The car will still automatically lower itself at 72 mph or whatever that setting is.

So if you are behind me cruising the BLVD and wonder why I won't go faster than 9mph, now you know.

Actually, the speed control is totally adjustable. I am just not sure if this function works with ABC only or also airmatic.

lol, this lowering module is cool regardless. Controlling the airmatic on command beats having lowering links which I had and 1 broke so now I went with the stock links and will use lowering module. Better to launch with at the track when at stock height also which will I will able to do now with this.

not to play devils advocate here, but why would we go through b0kix whom only has 32 posts vs staying the course with Hulk with over 3K posts to save $19.

Also if we go with b0kix all gets shipped to him and then to us vs direct form Programa.

Just asking the question to the group - not saying we are are going to get scammed and know b0kix is not doing this out the goodness of his heart -

Also if there are issues with the product we will have to go direct or deal with middleman

thoughts?

I do want to make clear that I will not be taking any payments if the group decides to go through PROGRAMA. All payments will be made directly to them and they will ship out to individuals.

Hey guys, I have gotten a number of PMs about this whole thing of whether we are staying with programa or solo. At this point we need to make a decision as a group because some want to go with programa and some with solomotorsports.
Please me your decisions as we must know where we stand.

Thanks!

i'm good with either...

programa - looks like we will need about 10 more buyers, but direct from manufacturer.

solomotorsports - a little cheaper and close to the mark, but middle man?

I think some people are weary of getting ripped off, especially with all the online fraud and bunk sellers.

Since Paypal "gift" doesn't really give me any protections, I would be using the +3.5% option. Puts me at $445. At this price, I'm going with Programa (even if it's at the non-GP price). I'm sorry Bokix, but this is just one of those times when I feel more comfortable going directly with the manufacturer. If I have any problems with my touchy R230 suspension, I don't want to have to deal with any fingerpointing between two different sellers and nobody taking full responsibility. I'm a fellow ATL member and in fact I probably know many people who have dealt with you directly in person. So while I have faith that you will do well, it's just not the "right" thing for me. Nothing personal.

I'm in for buying from Programa; what if you tell the owner of Programa if we have 10 people to buy directly from him, and 15 through Bokix, if he will honor the pricing for the "other" 10 of us? Still makes the 25 he's looking for...

Thanks.

warranty is 1-year... doesn't matter if purchased through solo motorsports or direct.

IF there were problems with the unit and it was purchased throughy Solo Motorsports, I would still go direct to Programa with the issue.

It doesn't matter to me who I go with, as long as it has a warranty. The unit will probably be fine, BUT sometimes when you buy something brand new out of the box you could have issues.
Either way I'm buying one.

This is legendary status for Yelp reviews. I trust him. Its not like he is offering it to us for $200 where it would be a red flag. Who cares that he has only 39 posts? He has been a member since 2007! ..Not every forum member is equally active or makes frequent posts. I'm on this forum nearly everyday reading threads, but I don't post much at all. ...If I were to spend the next 2 weeks on a post frenzy in the completely irrelevant Lifestyle sub-forum, and racked up 1k in posts, would I suddenly become a more trustworthy or reputable member?

That being said, we hit the 15 mark, lets get this show on the road
I want this in my car asap so I can enjoy my car lowered for as much of the summer and fall before the E returns to the garage..

Confused here...does the Programa have this capability with the E55 Airmatic that cal1 is discussing below? As in we'd be able to slam it automatically at low speed, and go back to stock above 9 MPH? I'm guessing not as it sounds too good.
