I am trying to get a definitive answer on this right now. I participated in a buy much like you guys are doing now a number of years ago on the W211 forum. I was probably the only non-E55/E63 guy in the buy. I also may have been the only pinhead who worked all the way through the Programa submenus to even find this.

I personally love the feature. I keep the car alignment at normal ride height because 90+% of the miles on the tires are at that level. I have no tire wear issues which seems to be a problem for many of the lowered cars.

Perfect! Exactly what I was thinking when I read your post. That was the first I heard of it after searching the forum, so it made me think it's an ABC capability only. If not, I think it would make this module more of a no-brainer.

Please let us know if you find anything!

Guys I pmed bokix on his pricing and getting a better deal because when you add the PayPal fees we are saving a whopping 4$ over going with the actual manufacturer. With Progama there is no Paypal fee because we pay directly on the website with CC.
Let me know your thoughts via here or pm

Put me on the list, since all the cool people are doing it. It makes no difference to me who collects the money, as long as its new in box and not a factory refurbish. Has the list grown to Stage 2 discount yet???

I pmed bokix and contacted Programa tech support via email yesterday to try and get this clarified. No one has been kind enough to respond back at this point.

Bottom line, IMO, is this is still the best lowering solution even if the airmatic cars do not have the speed controlled raising feature.

I looked into lomo and they claim theirs does it and it's the same programa unit so I'm thinking and does but like you said was no where in the instructions

The function is a bit deep into the menu. If we cannot get a definitive answer, I will post the path with pics like the ones I posted earlier, but more comprehensive.

Thank you for doing this legwork. And thanks to Hulk as well.

Been searching and found reference in the CLS 219 forum to this capability with the Lomo V2:

"I bet you can get low enough just on links, but the lomo V2 is great just for the fact that you can drive low, put the car higher when needed and you can adjust it so that the car raises itself at a self chosen speed..."

Also, found this one line in Komp55's W211 DIY for the Renntech V2:

"Although not shown above, the ELM can also be set to automatically reset the factory ride height once the vehicle attains the specified value (that you set via the remote)."

Hmm...nothing about going back down automatically, but...

EDIT: One more from the CLS55 forum:https://mbworld.org/forums/w219/4358...ml#post5064125

Renntech states speed dependent lowering w/ V2 was only available on select models.

Yep!

Found this on Renntechs site

The RENNtech V3 Digital Lowering Module (DLM) is designed to work with all available Mercedes Airmatic or ABC (Hydraulic) Suspensions. The unit allows the user to have full control over all four corners of the vehicle’s suspension and adjust in 1mm increments.

The DLM requires no splicing or soldering to the factory wiring harness. The RENNtech harness utilizes the factory pins as to allow a completely reversible installation.

The unit also supports speed-dependant lowering that allows the vehicle to return to its factory ride-height at a pre-set speed. This removes the need for the vehicle to be aligned after lowering. The user can maintain the factory longevity and still have the lowered look at low speeds!

So the question becomes is this function worth the extra cash? RT lists the V3 @ $1,395

I would not be surprised if Programa made the V3 too. It is not listed on their site though. They may have entered into an agreement with RT.

This is getting old. Programa can suck it if 19 peaple buying their module isnt enough of a group buy for them. Thats like 8k in sales on their part.

Honestly tho, some dudes always freaking concerned about warranty all the time. If you keep your **** up, buy quality things from reputable people and businesses you dont have to worry about crap like warranties or who stands behind them.

Lets get this over with NOW

Good find!

So, hard to believe they're still getting that price, considering the value of the cars and the hands they've fallen into. That certainly would be the way to do it, though. I guess after a dude kills a set of Pilot Super Sports with the V2, that price isn't so bad LOL.

Would rather spend that kinda cheddar on a limited-slip though.

Agreed about the V2 should be costing $300.
