If you can swing a c7 zo6 your obviously not broke like me is it worth selling? Why not keep it and add to the collection? I've driven a bs, and they are fun and unique but if you are planning on mods or going fast just get the c7. I had a c5 frc and the potential was huge for that car. Unfortunately it was 90's era gm and the constant small repairs pissed me off so much I sold it. Now I regret selling it and have considered buying another one.

I suggest the 2010-2012 ZR1, you can grab a 2010 for nearly half the price right now and it's still a very impressive machine!! It's actually one of the best deals available right now!!

I'd be looking long and hard at a CLK. Good balance makes for a great track car with racing car feel and plenty of potential. But then again that vette is an absolute weapon. Different vehicles - you will have to decide what your priorities are...

11 years and 22k miles!!!!
It's hard to buy a C6 looking at how sexy the exterior and interior is on the C7. Clearly you're a long term owner so you need to be in love with the car you buy. Drive them. You'll know.

With the right exhaust the 911 car sounds pretty insane. Youtube unobtainium exhaust. Another reason I say 911 is they don't loose value like AMG. The way you keep your car you'll probably make money with the 911. Plus it just plain fun to drive something nimble again.

Depends on how much money you're willing to part with...
I'd really like the 2008 CLK Black Series. I think that's a great car. Rare, still current, and looks sharp.
The Corvette Z06 is amazing, and torquey! But it's a pushrod valvetrain engine?! That makes me wonder if it will rev freely and dynamically, the redline is not particularly high.
I'd go for the Lamborghini Hurracan. Yes, this is significantly more expensive (you didn't mention a budget) but it's got the handling and does 10 sec 1/4 miles right out of the box.
Have you considered a Bentley Continental GT? They're fast, they're big, they're safe, they're comfortable, they're well built, and according to my research I'd consider them reasonable to maintain. They can be reasonable to lease, and if you buy a used one there are some good buys out there.
Hellcat? 800 horsepower, that's got to be intoxicating. Please note, I haven't driven one of these yet.
Cadillac CTS-V. Corvette engine in a sedan format. Disclaimer, haven't driven this one yet.
Lots of choices, only limitation is your imagination and how much difficulty you are willing to put up with.

If the Beast does not impress you every time you drive it. There is something wrong with it.
A well modded and maintained E55 will probably outperform at least 95% of all other "performance cars" on the road today.
If the day ever comes that I find something with overall better in quality, performance, appearance, practicality and enjoyment than the E55, I will most certainly buy it.
Ironically, the 1969 W109 6.3 was the fastest 4 door sedan in the world (mine will easily do 0-100kph in 5.5 seconds) until it was replaced by the E55 in 2003
Whenever I want to remember what it's like to drive a real race car, there is no substitute for a 1,850 lbs., 914-6GT with a 2.9L (Yes I know, it was originally 2 liters) twin-plug heads, 46mm Webers and 300+ HP @8,000 rpm. Rides like a buckboard, but handles like a slot car, can't hear yourself think and it leaks like a sieve. Makes me really appreciate the E55.

This is my delima, I own a low mileage 10sec E55 (hit 10's on my 4th & 5th attempt btw and haven't raced it since) that just a blast to drive but I've always loved the CLK BS and I've been a fan of the ZR1 from way back when I had my 2001 L98. The new ZO6 and it's new interior are so nice that my wife even likes it. in a perfect world I guess I would love to find a CLK BS with a Weistec SC, LT's and all of the bushings replaced so basically all I have to do is turn the key and enjoy because I'm kind of done with "modding"

I have made the jump and it all depends what your plans are for your toy. Setup right, whether you do it Jack, or the seller you but it from, the pushrod motor will make WAY more power above 6200rpms than a m113k.
Than been said, I had to spend double to get my Ctsv in the same hp level my e55 was. In your case, it might be even more.
If your car is still running strong and trouble free, I would keep it.
