Hey all I am in Canada with a US E55 vehicle so upon reviewing the manual I have to adjust the "lamp circuit headlamp" setting in the e55 to have it automatically run the daytime running lights when the engine is turned on. It works well but now when I start the engine the headlamps come on but also the fog lamps (the circle lamps below the headlights) the left one also comes on everytime I start the vehicle (it emits a lime green light). I turned on the fog lights and I didnt notice any difference with the circle lamp it was still emitting the same light.
Are my lights messed up that my fog lamps turn on when I have the daytime running lights on? Only the left fog lamp comes on when I have it set it to constant daytime running light because my right fog lamp bulb is dead.
If anyone else with E55 can confirm if its normal for the fog lamps below the headlights to come on when I turn on the constant daytime running lights setting
Here's the picture, all these lights turn on when I start the vehicle... Confused as I thought fog lights only turned on manually... Also my right fog light doesn't come on only the left one....anyone know what's going on? Thanks

lol sorry here is the photo, i think i remember when i first bought the car the inspection stated something about daytime running lights were installed (usa
car imported to canada) with some loose hanging wire under the car, does this mean its possible someone hooked up daytime running lights to run on the fog lights in addition to the standard low beam/parking lights? any help is appreciated
It's hard to tell from the picture but that green hue might be 3500k HIDs and one of the bulbs might be out. The car might be wired to run the fog lights to run when the key is in the ON position.
yes one of the bulbs are out, is it ok to run the fog lights as daytime running lights? when I put i start the car the light comes on and even if i switch it to the low beam setting the fog lights still come on without me specifically pulling out the switch to properly start the fog lights
Don't run HID fogs on these cars. I had them on my CLS and every few weeks, the bulb will go out and have to be replaced. It was annoying to I just sucked it up with high end halogen bulbs.
