BRAKE ROTORS FOR W211 2004 E55

Has anyone tried "Racing Brakes" any reviews or opinions?

I looking at http://www.racingbrake.com/RB-Two-Pi.../mb-irk-19.htm

Anyone got some suggestions for other or better brands?

I'm no expert on brakes but these look great although they would want to be for the price. I'm just not sure that you would see a return on your investment as the E55 brakes are already quite good and this is not the car for twisty tracks. Is there a specific reason you have for improving the brakes?

I've had the OEM rotors glowing red hot before I got fade, I've also had fade first lap with extreme smoking and SBC warning lights everywhere. It's a unpredictable system when you're on the track. If you don't do any type of driving where 140-40MPH stops are frequent throw some nice pads on and call it a day. No need to replace the entire setup unless you need the performance. The OE brake system looks great!

I have done 67,000km and the rotors are worn. E55 is a heavy car, so It like to reduce any weight down. The brakes a a bit spongey too, always been like that, I had the brake fluid changed last year. I know they are expensive, so if anyone has these Id appreciate comments or if anyone can tell me something that its better too

Lightweight rotors reduce unsprung weight by about 30 lbs.
also 30 lb reduction in rotational mass is the equivalent to adding 30 hp and requires less energy to stop. Racing Brake and GiroDisc are two excellent sources. My personal choice for pads is EBC Red. FWIW
