Most likely with the CLK BLK I will keep the beast but the other two will cause me to sell it. The GT-S would require new shoes, a tune & down pipes and that would eat up some nice change along with the down payment.... I don't mind the monthly payment I just hate giving up cash out of pocket only time will tell......

 

i have been seeing a lot of M156 with camshaft failures. last one was on a CLK BS with 28k miles on it.

 

Wow that is interesting. For such a (otherwise) well balanced renowned motor that is a major drawback.

 

Yeah that scares me just a tad.

Yup. I've seen two in the last two months. Costly repair. I'm really hoping Benz/AMG will step up on this like they did with the balance shaft.
