Wanna Go Fast results
Me and XStar at the line
Overall car ran great. Have a problem in trunk with trunk tank and methanol pump blowing there fuses. Ran 9 passes with no methanol. Best run at 149.6. So close to 150 but guess I'll have to wait till May. Wish I would off got to run today with methanol working. Temps were lower and humidity a lot lower. Average bests were 3mph higher on friends cars that ran today.

Our nemesis ran 162. Up from 159 on Saturday. It was crisp And cold till we left at 1 today. My car would of been a lot faster today......and yesterday if methanol was working.

I'm not even gonna lie. Didn't know how fast my car really was till this weekend. And this is with my trunk being a mess and no methanol spraying. Lost on the big end twice out of 9 runs. NEVER got pulled on the half track (1/4mile). 1 car was old school turbo M5 and other big cam bolt on new Camaro SS. Had both buy 1 car half track all while launching on crappy 19" Hankook's.

Went out yesterday and I wish I would have registered. I'll be registering the next time its in GA. I'd love to see what my 55 can do. There was a S8 and a Jaguar that surprised a lot of ppl! This is a great event....my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Congrats! Is this race same as Shift sector airstrip attack? 149mph in a standing half mile?

You can run from a tree or roll here.
Ran all my runs from tree. Best launches on my 285's was about 2000rpm. Didnt leave on full stall this time. Gonna get wheels and radials for May

When running a 1/2 mile race, would Hoosier DOT drag radials be preferable to street tires, or can they not handle the extra speed and heat? I may sign up for one of these next time they come around here in the PNW.

I dunno, but your car sounds fast to me. So you ran standing half mile. I wonder what you would run rolling half mile!
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but, I think stock E55 will trap about 137ish? Anyone know??

I just checked Shift sector Facebook page and they had a modded CTS-V that was trapping 150+ mph. So, you guys are right there!

Next week the results will be posted on there site so we can compare times to make and model. A lot of people were surprised of my speeds there being on stock blower. Only other Benz there was a black edition AMG with mods and only heard him trap 152.

Gotta remember altitude. Don't know exact height but Heavens landing airstrip is on top of a mountain in NE Georgia. Altitude and DA make it hard to really compare speeds to the Texas and Fla WannaGoFast events.

Yes and no?

Speeds in the Wanna Go Fast in Florida during January were terrible
570 rwhp E55 did 143ish in the 1/2 and a tuned twin E63 did 147? Temps and humidity effect air density.....just like altitude. Cooler temps at higher altitudes could approach sea level air density.
