05' E55 NO CRANK FAN ON HIGH ESP/ABS
The other day I went to go start my car, it wouldn't start. So I jump started it, car started up, drove to the gas station, turned the car off. it never started again. i was stranded at the gas station for hours trying to figure out what happened to it, after I couldn't figure out what was the matter with it i had to push it home. Everything in the car works except it just won't crank. lights on the dash are ESP MALFUNCTION, ABS MALFUNCTION, RED BATTERY LIGHT IS ON. (PUT A BRAND-NEW BATTERY IN AFTER I GOT IT HOME). WHEN I PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION IS SAYS REMOVE KEY. WHEN I TRY TO START IT THERES NO CRANK AND THE FAN JUST COMES ON HIGH. BUT LIKE I SAID BEFORE EVERY SINGLE THING IS WORKING EXCEPT IT JUST WONT START.

I spoke to a guy who had these/similar no crank symptoms about 3-4 weeks ago (without the error messages though)
Issue was found to be his starter
Replaced starter and all was well, running mint again
He could turn the key and no click nothing from the starter, yet everything else would work, he removed the fuel line and fuel would prime etc etc, it just happened out of the blue
He had no codes in STAR
Not saying it is the same thing here but may be something to go on

menace thanks for taking the time to post. hank was ur fan running on high? keep me posted. list of things I've done. checked the f70 fuse under passenger foot well. I'm getting power there. front sam unit relay L was swapped and still nothing. swapped out bcm still nothing. alternator is getting power. checked every fuse still nothing. used a maxiDas scanner bcm came up with 2 faults k75 relay and dead aux battery. replaced both and still nothing. k75 relay is in front sam with yellow strip. haven't been able to get under the car yet to check for power to the starter. everything that i read about no crank and fan on blast says its a dead ecu. by way of the ecu cooling fan dying and killing the ecu along with it? makes no sense to me that the ecu would die because of a bs cooling fan shorting out. any input on this out there? will be checking the fuel pump today but I'm assuming thats a long shot because i should still have a crank. also might replace brake light switch another long shot? I've owned this car for years and it has never failed me until now.

Happened to me after downloading tune. If the car won't crank and you have an esp malfunction then it's the ecu. Hopefully other will find this thread in future. I didn't find it when I searched 3 weeks ago

Since I have replaced my Airmatic Compressor and relay, I seem to be having issues with Airmatic "retaining" the "Startup Settings" I have programmed in "Suspension Airmatic Setting for ride height. I have to manually login to STAR/Xentry to Suspension/Actuations/Automaticall Suspension Adjustment IIRC? Once there it shows how low in mm the FR/FL & Rear is and then I press F3 and the Airmatic inflates and I'm good to go, that is, until the next day when upon startup the car DOESN'T calibrate by itself as it should???
I'm not sure if this pertains to my issue, but when using Xentry/Chassis/Suspension/Voltages-it shows N51 (Airmatic w/ADS) Terminal 30 as having 14v with car running, however below it shows Terminal 87 as having no Voltage? I'm wondering if this might be the reason for Airmatic Control Module NOT Remembering its Settings?
Bear in mind I've spent the last year rebuilding this "new to me" awesome ride and haven't even put so much as 100 miles on the car yet as I've had a hell of a time trying to get the car aligned properly. Without being able to retain Height Settings coupled with my car still pulling right, even after rebuilding thee entire front suspension that pulled right beforehand, it's been pretty frustrating!!! I don't really want to ruin these new tires due to the pull to the right, but first things first, I do need to figure out this ride height issue. The Compressor fills up the shocks on demand in Xentry, but doesn't self correct as it should???
