HELP!! E55 AMG sucking in oil through throttle body
I'm in need of some serious help my e55 is sucking in oil into the throttle body from the hoses that are attached to the airbox and the valve covers what could be causing this please if anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you in advance
First guess is a bad PCV valve. 2nd guess is blowby. At idle, remove oil fill cap and feel for pressure coming out. Pray you don't have any. Then go find the PCV valve and see if it's stuck open. That, for this car, is about my limit...

I'm going to be running a compression test and hope for the best. Now here's my question if the outcomes bad rings where would I be able to find a set of new pistons and rings for this car? Is such a thing available?

the car is smoking when I start it up and oil is at 8.2 quarts it only has 60k on it as well and when I took the air box off oil was coming out of the y pipe

it came outta nowhere as well I started the car up after not driving it for a week and knew something was not right when it sound like it was misfiring

7.8-8.2 quarts when the engine is on and trust me im freaking out. I can understand if I was beating on the car and something happened but the car was running fine When I parked it and then I go to drive a week later start it up and it's misfiring and smoking quite a bit. If I have to replace the engine where would be a good place to get one or just a block itself would work I could just swap everything over then
It still may be unrelated but you need to completely rule out the oil level first and do compression check before you get ahead of yourself. You don't check oil level with car on. You need to check it once it's warmed up and with the engine switched off after sitting for ten minutes.
Mileage means nothing. I have seen cars with 50k miles and the motor had bad compression. Whether its friend or family , it is a purchase so do your home work. Compression test is a must. Many cars these days are being sold cheap and have issues. Hope it works out for you bro

Yeah sh*t happens I guess at least I have my srt4 for a daily I can take my time fixing the E55.. cars paid for it would have stung a whole lot more if I had a loan on it
It sounds like you have too much oil in the engine. At idle the cluster shouldn't read more than 5 qts or so...if the sensor is correct. Drain the oil from both sumps, replace the filter (do this before draining the oil as it will let more oil run to the pan) Refill with 8.5 qts and see how it goes. It will take some time to burn off the excess oil in the breather system. Or, have someone competent (not jiffy lube) change the oil, be sure to ALWAYS use a factory filter.
