After the E55 comes .......
With the E55 gone and winter fast approaching, purchasing my next car can wait until the Spring. Now that I have some time to do some research and figure out what I want.
I know a lot of folks went to the CTS-V and loved the change. If I were to get one of those, it would have to be one of the sedans.
I test drove a HellCat charger. Damn, loved that car! I'm seriously considering that car and amount of changes you can do onboard is intriguing. Has anyone bought one of these? Thoughts? Experiences? My buddy says he'd swap with a procharger with a cam and tune. Loved the instant torque, reminded me A LOT of the E55. Just not crazy about interior.
Any other sedans with ***** recommendations/suggestions?
I also test drove a Stingray, the new Vette... damn, those cars MOVE as well. Just not a Vette fan. Also did a C6Z06 the same day and man, that car just doesn't stop pulling.
I have the C63BS in my mind as well, but wanted something a little more practical that I could take my sons in when/if needed.

I'm over on the cadillac forums and V forums also. The CTS V sedan is by far my favorite car that's obtainable. It's a really solid car and don't have Powertrain issues.
Only thing that usually go wrong are the superchargers which have been warranties up to 10 yrs/ 120k miles. Free of charge. The rear diff starts to whine if the fluid hasn't been maintained/ changed. But besides that you can get great power out of it and very reliable. That's gonna be my car after the e55 I hope to buy soon.

For the "other" sedans with power you hit the 2 I would be exploring. CTSV or Hellcat Charger. A couple Viper buddies have the Hellcat and seem to be happy.

Sedans are almost a must, I just like having four doors ... as a bonus, it's easier to convince the wife to buy just about anything sedan with two little boys..
I'm not a fan of the new M3s/M5s - as far as looks- if not, those would be contenders as well.

If you can swing it the sc ctsv is where it's at. I can't they have less brick walls than the 55 does. It did take 6 years to do it

Panamera Turbo, Cayenne Turbo, and 2012+ E63 are on my list. Will add a Rover for the winter months then decide.
F Type R sucked but exhaust was OMG
Need turbo no more SC

The M6 Grand Coupe has my eye. I plan on keeping the E55 so I want something different. But there are a lot to good options out there. R8, gallardo, 911, M3/4, M5/6 , CTS-V, ATS-V, RS7, CLS63 biturbo, E63 biturbo, the new C63s is an animal when tuned. Hellcats are nice but I'm not a dodge fan. Just keep test driving till you fall in love..

CTSV without question
However, my wife drives a 2014 SRT Jeep GC which has the exact same seats, wheel, and instrument layout as the Hellcat and yes...it is badass

Thank you all for the replies.
I haven't had wheel time with a bi-turbo E63 yet. I have a feeling that car will grab me. I'll try to test one this week.
Having said that, I see car prices dropping for a lot of the vehicles mentioned over the next 6-7 months, so we will see.
I don't plan to buy anything until the winter passes, probably sometime in April or early May as a birthday present for myself
How much are the RS7s going for? I thought they were right around $100K? But they are ***** fast.

As soon as we pay off the wife's car and her car becomes my beater, we are getting a Range! That has been decided by both of us, haha.
I need a car, not an SUV, as my toy.

If I was in your dilemma,
This would be my choices
V2 CTS V sedan or wagon
F10 M5
W212 E63
V3 CTS V
If you're into super sleepers
2016 Chevy SS. Send it over to Hennessey and you have just become a super sleeper.

I think CTSV is the top contender. My next car hands down. The Charger Hellcat seems nice but maybe not as refined. The M5 or maybe a 550i with some upgrades would make serious power.

Well if you have the coin I have changed my mine. I would get a hell cat. But they are really hard to buy. They sell at auction for 20% more because of the supply. The average smo with cash CANT get one

I am actually trying to sell my E55 and get one myself for a daily. The E55 is a bit more robust and resistant to wear, but the V is faster and has more modern technology AND is WAY cheaper to work on. The MR shocks on a V are only $300 apiece and only have ot be changed at 80k miles. compare that to Airmatic
