Anybody use Sirius Radio in their E63? I need help

Anybody use Sirius Radio in their E63? I need help
I just tried to activate a trial subscription today and I spent almost 2 hours trying to get the thing to work.

Im getting the signal they send for my system to update the stations.. but once it finishes updating, I only get about 10 channels and I get no sound. The preview channel (CH184) is no longer accessible at this point. Before they send the update signal, I'm getting music on the preview channel so it can't be a problem with the antenna.

Anybody have any recommendations on what I should do to get this to work?

2008 e63 amg
I have a 2008 E63. I had lots of random, intermittent problems with the satellite radio and ended up having to replace the satellite control module. $920 by the dealer. Good luck!

try performing a hard reset on the Sirius system. unplug the power connector going to the module for ten seconds or so and see if it reboots itself... just a thought.

I have an outstanding aftermarket warranty... so i'm gunna hope that they'll replace the unit if need be.

Do you know where the power connector going to the module is located? I was thinking about disconnecting my cars battery over night to get everything to reset but your method sounds easier and less time consuming

USAA exclusionary warranty. Zero Deductible and they cover everything including airmatics. You need to be military or have a family member who is/was military.

I think
you need to in an open area with a clear shot to the southeast where most satellites are. Call Sirius and have them re send the signal to you.

That's the first thing I tried to do. I had them resend the signal multiple times. At one point, they cancelled my account and then remade it and resent the signal. Still a no go. At the moment, I see channels but I get no sound. I'm about ready to just disconnect the battery from my car to reset everything.
