Hey guys just a little boasting about our 55k beasts. Basically my friends where talking some trash about our "slow" sedans and seemed to think that we are only good for luxury. My friends drive a 350z and focus st so not really on our league. I told them to Come for a ride with me I was crushing at around 35 on a street then out of nowhere gunned it ive never seen such a scared look on anyone's face before e they shut there mouths for the whole ride home and now never want to race in their cars or talk trash about us anymore

hahaha good one. It still doesn't seem possible that a +4,000 lb sedan can move that fast. Thumbs up for the approach, cruising and gunning out of nowhere! ahh the element of surprise haha

What kind of idiot doesn't realize the sheer brutality of AMGs by now? How can that guy call himself a car guy? It's not even close between those ricey 350Z and Focus ST and AMGs. Let him get into a Weistec or Renntech tuned 5.5 Biturbo with downpipes and tell me they're not built for speed.

At least you shut him up though. I actually like when people **** talk then get shut down hahaha . Honestly though the E55 is in a DIFFERENT league when it comes to speed. It's like an amateur featherweight boxer vs a heavyweight MMA fighter.

Yep nothing worse than uninformed wannabe's who think Mercedes is an "old mans car". There's even a lot of car guys who know the AMG name yet still underestimate their actual power and are surprised when taken for a spirited drive.

I recall going for a drive once with 2 or 3 acquaintances, one of whom had a reputation for being a tough guy. Near the completion of our journey I squeezed into the throttle through a curving apex at the appropriate time so as to give that "rocket launch" effect, before pulling up swiftly and parking. They jumped out all animated and excited with the tough guy saying he could feel pins and needles running up and down his body. One of the others was telling him "Yeah man, that's the acceleration does that!" although I think it was just fear. I let them talk excitedly between themselves as I continued inside, content in the knowledge that this lot at least knew what AMG's were all about...

Almost nobody screws with me these days, it's kinda nice. My last car was a 1990 Mazda Protege penalty box, whose only saving grace was AWD and 320whp@24psi. It was not quite sleepy enough to slip under riceboy's radar and I was having to deal with beeyotchslapping every fartcan Honduh in the area. now, they all pretend not to see me. I am just fine with that... heck even the musclecar meatheads either don't recognize, or have been once bitten.

So far only a new Camaro SS has messed with me. He was a smart one though... because this was right after it had rained and was on the freeway with traffic and we both had about 10 car lengths ahead of us. Needless to say I set my cruise control to 70mph and turned up my music so I didn't have to hear him reving.

Mine scared the **** out of me tonight. Just got done installing 83mm clutched pulley/ tune by Tony Lawshee,scatter shield and k@n filters. Went for a test drive and punched it at 20, car was all over the place till 50 let off. Turned on esp and did a 30 roll light was going crazy but hit 80 in seconds. It was cold out 29f but I now have a serious traction problem. I would guess it feels like 50 rwhp or more.cant wait for the highway roll.
More than I was expecting that's for sure

Yep, first time I broke the back end loose doing a pass on the freeway was when I knew I bought the Right Car. Turning the nannies off results in your passenger (my boy, in this case) saying "did anyone *see* that?"


Aaaand a massive increase in the tire budget. I leave the nannies on.

About two weeks ago, I was driving home from work. I was having one of those really tired days. Just cruising home via side streets after sitting in an hour in traffic.

I'm rolling down the center of a three lane road, then a mustang comes up quick and LOUD and stays next to me (to my left). It was quite nice (but very loud... sounded powerful). Then I take a second to think... "worst case scenario, it's a 2012 body style Shelby GT500. It'd be a good run."

Cause I wasn't really in the mood to do so, I tap on the gas and immediately let off. He guns it and blasts away from me. Just to find out that when i saw the rear half of the car, it was a SHELBY GT500 Super Snake Widebody! You know... the one with 850HP.

I know we're proud owners of our cars and it's power, but yeah... good thing I didn't even attempt. I would have been eating his dust. LoL.

It was this same one except in a dark blue-ish purple color.

I guess there will always be someone faster .....unless you have a maxed out twin turbo Huracan or an AMS Alpha Omega but that's a different story.

I used to roll around with ESP off thinking it was cool. All up until I pinned it under a tunnel on a cold morning and went sideways very quickly.

It's really not that nice. In the last year I have seen 1 m113k powered car. That's it. Srt's are everywhere but rarely modded. I have been a Camaro guy for 30 years so beating a mustang does nothing anymore. If people have money they go z06 or get a nice S class. Most,of those guys won't run you anyway.

I test drove a new Camaro for the fun of it. It was as fast as my car but not really something I'd want to spend a lot of time in. Tons of turbo lag too. Imagine my surprise when I popped the hood and saw a supercharger.

The new Camaro or SS do not have a supercharger in stock trim. They have a zl1 model that did but they are very expensive. They run low 12's N/A

They pack a good punch. 580hp. I agree with you though, I bought an E55 because I'm older and wanted something nicer and more refined.
