Awesome Rave!

Thats exactly what I want to do with my TT when I get one.
Painting the lowers really makes the car look great.

I have a question regarding the acceleration on the TT vs. the E55. Are they similar or much different in a straight line on a 1/4 mile? I was in a TT recently and the acceleration was unbelieveable. I have heard that the E55 is similar to this but wanted to get your impressions since you have had both.

THanks

You can’t compare the two cars, the E55 is a comfortable, extremely fast luxury car. The Porsche is a true sports car, it handles great (but you lose a lot of comfort), speed is ridiculously fast. I would not want the Porsche as my only car, I have a nice truck and the Porsche, the best of both worlds if you ask me.

MB Life,

Being a owner of a 01'TT modded (Stage 2 EVO) and a 04 E55 I must say that you do not notice a big difference in acceleration in a straight line since both cars are crazy fast. I would eat my E55 for lunch on the track.

Car looks great Rave!

04E55 AMG:
That's what I was looking for. I know the TT would eat the E55 on the track and on curvy roads. The acceleration was giddy fast when I was in the TT.

Rave,

Nice Wing.

What kind of wing is that?

I have seen that wing before and didn't know who made it.

YOWZA! Great looking car. Having had a turbo I know just the pride you're feeling and the fun you're having. If you really have to have that total involvement in the act of driving fast, Porsche is the way to go. And I don't know about your car, but while my Porsche wasn't E55 luxurious, the seats were the most comfortable I've ever experienced.

I think that's the GT2 wing with Techart wheels. A set of HREs with the Techart Type 2 front bumper would take your car over the top. The CF turned out nice. Congrats again on the car. I've been looking into the 04 GT3 but think I'm going to just wait and order a 997 instead.

Frisco, I've actually ordered the GT3 then changed my mind and asked the dealer to cancel my order but they are getting the car for themselves now after changing the spec to be a show room car. I am also waiting for the 997 - the new spy pics of the turbo made me drool big time and were a big factor in my decesion.

That is not the GT2 wing. It is a wing made by a company called 9ff that replaces the factory wing without replacing the whole rear deckid. This is a pic of the factory GT2 wing.
