Anyone have a part number for a 2006 E55 engine oil dipstick?

I tried messing with the dash monitor to check oil level. I'm still not good with that darn thing and can't seem to get the page I need. I'll figure it out, but in the meantime, being old school as I am, I would like to have a plain 'ol dipstick to check oil. I see on line lots of transmission dipsticks, as well as some generic ones that you mark yourself, but I would like to have a real, dedicated E55 only dipstick.

Does anyone have a part number and/or best place to get one?

Thanks!

Car free at the moment
I'm not certain such a thing exists. The key thing to know is this: 168mm. When you bottom out the dipstick tool on the floor of the oil pan, it should measure 168mm oil depth. Frankly it can be measured using an unfolded clothes hanger and a ruler. But that probably only appeals if you are an engineer, and hence by definition fond of homemade cheapskate solutions.

Edit: MB part number is 120 589 07 21 00. This is a service tool. It is used to measure the oil depth, but does not remain in the dipstick tube during operation of the car as it is much longer than the dipstick tube.

can you leave it in place all the time driving around or is it truly only for measuring while engine is off?

Isn't there one that is short enough that stay's in place? Seems silly grabbing your dip stick () to physically check the oil level. Just sayin'.

If it were shorter, it couldn't read the oil level correctly.
