my track heat issues pump or tank or air in system?

OK I have figured out that the problem is 100% the new lid not allowing the tank to be filled enough and air is sucked into the outlet hose on hard acceleration. I've proved this by shoving a plastic line inside of the lower hole and created a pickup tube to the rear of the tank. Bled the air out and guess what. No more crazy spikes in temp and temp instantly starts to decrease. Problem I have is now I'm not able to use the full capacity of the tank volume and the only hose I can find at this time to make a pickup is actually reducing the inner diameter by .120". Anyone know anything about the other lids that were used on these?

great find man yea I think ditching this tank would be best or sending it to a fab guy or perhaps a cts-v fab guy. You know my car can be 6-8 deg over ambient I can drive it let it sit it usually settles 15 deg over after hitting on on it. then sometimes like last weekend I didn't floor it but I got on it temps went to 90deg and it stayed there cruising for like 1 minute before droping to 15deg over ambient. and other times it just drops after you get off the gas.
