Says it's a UPD item and appears to put spacers on the airbox to give it a bit more volume... Claims it adds 20-25hp, which I doubt, but definitely interesting.
Thoughts?

Lol looks like 400 bucks for some stuff I could piece together from **** in my garage or drop $20 at Home Depot lol.
That being said, I wonder if there's any chance it does anything.

I like the concept, as it has always bothered me how low the filters sit in the housings, but I'll need to see a before/after dyno sheet before adding it to my mod list. Also, the price seems ridiculously high for what it is.

Those are good gains. But that motor is held back from the factory. The m113k intake system as we know is extreamly effective is stock trim. If someone is willing to make them I would be in for a set. A spacer and screws for 100 to 150 would be worth alittle increase in flow.

So anyone running this on their 55k yet?
Assuming on the dyno posted that all runs were back to back, it would seem the car was gaining power already with each successive run regardless of intake. Power went up ~14hp before intake was installed at which point it climbed another ~15hp?

I noticed that but what I am asking though is irrespective of what motor it's on....I am basically asking if the car gained hp before the caik. If it did, that means the kit was good for 15hp over K&N filters on the biturbo which should net more gains than the 113k application.

Hey guys, my name is george im from the c43 forums. Ive come up with a custom air box for the c43 and other mercedes that the c43 box will fit. I saw this thread and see some interest in a air box that will provide more air volume. Thats what my air box provides, more air more HP/TQ. im slowly building creditability with the c43 guys but was wondering if you guys would be interest if i build one for your cars?
Im willing to buy the air box or boxes (I dont know your setup?) and build it for one of you to try and test. Would be nice to have someone that can take it to a dyno shop....
Heres what i would need to get started.
- how much clearance from the air box to the hood padding. From that ebay picture looks like the air box can go higher than stock. But how much more higher is what i really need to know.
- what price range would you guys be willing to pay?
If i can mod this for you guys i promise it will look professional/oem and will make more power for sure. Please let me know your thoughts or questions. Thanks.

If you could come up with a full intake that replaces the top of the airbox and the factory y-pipe (which is quite restrictive), and it all looks stock'ish, then you would have no problem selling lots of them. Just doing a 82mm throttle body is a mess sourcing parts that don't fit together very well (and it's still restrictive).
Heck just make an plastic copy of the carbon fiber Renntech intakes do you could make a great return.
