I heard these were a PITA to install... with some saying they don't fit at all. Anyone have any tips or insight on how to install these properly?

 

get the FAST pigtail connection adapters. Google them.

 

I wanted to pick these up from ebay which come with adapters. Are the FAST connectors required or will those adapters do?

They look just like the FAST connectors. they should work. you just need the ones with the wires on them so you can move them around easily and position them out of the way.

 

I bought these exact injectors and they fit perfectly on my '05.
