I had a link saved somewhere on my computer pertaining to a blacked-out OEM style grille for a E63 front. I can't seem to find the link.
Can someone point me in the right direction as to where I can get one?
eBay has some, but are international.
I just purchased one from PartsGeek, but was silver and not black. Although the description said "black" and the customer service rep himself said it was black. What color arrived in the mail? ...silver. I had a feeling the "black" was referring to the inner part of the grille.

I rather not paint the grille only because it chips / peels easily.
Thanks in advance.

I also had a hard time sourcing one for about a week. I gave up and went international. Now waiting for shipping. Still interested in a link myself though.

I know its not ideal, but ive got one here that was powdercoated black. E63 grille. Just has normal rock chips and the like from daily driving if either of you want it.

If by OEM style, you mean it doesn't have the badge on top, then I got my black E63 grill off of eBay.

Totally understandable. From what I've researched years ago, I believe the one off eBay and the one from www.123mercedes.com come from the same place. Some say fitment is perfect, while others say it sticks out a tad bit more than it should.Originally Posted by HeissRod

I appreciate the offer. I'm a bit meticulous and would like a new one. Thank you though. Originally Posted by Ruthle55

Would you happen to know what process was used to paint? (sand, prime, and paint? or paint as is?)Originally Posted by dchl21

I had both ways done in the past with my W208 and still chipped-off somewhat about the same.
My other thought was to have it wrapped in gloss black but i'm really not sure how it'll look when its done (due to the many folds and corner areas).

they were telling me its going to chip and don't want to do it but I insisted.
im not sure but Im gussing light sanding and prime then paint. wrap is not as shiny ...beside only cost me 100 to paint that grill.

LoL. Exactly what I insisted on when I had that done on my W208.
If i really can't find a black one out there, I guess I might go with painting.
Going to keep searching in the meantime.
