Small leak evap CEL don't recall if P0442
So took the E55 to the dealer Monday for an alignment after replacing all of the front suspension. Good news there they said I put it back together perfectly and only the toe was slightly out. Bad news I got a CEL on the way there. For small leak evap. Been getting it about once a week since they replaced the tank. I told them about it so they are trying to track down the leak. So far 2 days of smoke testing and they can't find the leak. But they haven't given up. Luckily Lokey gives brand new loaners. They haven't done the glycol test yet either. That is the other thing I wanted them to check.

If they have already ruled out the tank/pumps then it can only be the purge valve located front of the engine near bumper drivers side or the evap charcoal canister or valve on the passenger side rear under the wheel well cover.
Ps it could also be as simple as the gas cap lol

My tanks and pumps/filters were replaced 2 months ago.
They replaced the purge valve and that fixed the issue. they couldn't find the leak, but started replacing parts one at a time until they found the issue.

What did the purge value run? Easy to replace?
My tank and thus pumps and filter are being replaced this week. Just curious of this will be something to look into and when.

since they already replaced it I told them to leave it in. at the dealer it was $250 installed. I believe you can pick one up for between $100 and $150 and from what I can tell looks fairly easy to DIY. kicking myself for having them leave it in. But the EVAP systems on cars have always scared me. I don't know why.
