What sort of gas mileage are you getting?

I'm getting a whopping 14.2 average. I know these aren't Priuses, but is that worse than normal?

I averaged 17.1 my first 4K miles. Depends on driving habits. I drive either slow or full throttle. 14 isn't that bad but not great either. Most say headers improve gas mileage.

If you do a fair amount of stop and go city driving then that sounds reasonable. I got 22 plus on a cross country trip right after I bought it. But now that it's home I just fill it and don't check, why would I want to know LOL?

I have had 25 on the flat open road. Goes down to 12 and below around town.

Stop/start traffic is under 10.

My first one averaged 22, this one only gets 19. Same car, same color even. The only difference is the performance package. The only engine hardware difference that I can find is the resonator and mufflers. I'd like to know what is up with that.

I get around 10 mpg stop and go around downtown. 14-15 mpg on larger stretches of road, 20-21 average on long trips. Seen as much as 24 mpg on flat road, sea level.

LOL that's why I have both:

E55 AMG: ~12 in City 15+ Highway. I got 9s when I forgot to plug my I/C pump back in for some reason but no code thrown.

E320 CDI: ~27+ City, 40+ Highway. Not sure how you get mid 30s around town. Babying it in town still gives me 30. Too many stop lights around town.

Yeah .. it doesn't make sense economically to have both .. I just like these cars

There's only 2 stoplights in the county and lots of space between towns. I'll get in the low 30's with a canoe and mountain bike on the roof, and easily in the mid 30's with a bare roof around town. Babying the car pretty much doesn't happen.

Funny, I never really look at it but the last time I put gas I was playing with the display. I put it on the screen that shows MPG. When I stopped at a light I watched it go from I think 17-18 to 13. It was soooo funny

I'm avging 17 and change. usually 20 on the highway but I'm afraid that number dropped a bit, last roadtrip. I suspect that my mpg figures may have suffered some, crossing Montana at.... um... Exactly the Speed Limit, mr. insurance Troll!

What sort of gas mileage are you getting?

I just did a relatively long trip.. I reset everything for it specially to get a proper number. average speed of 74miles/hr and my avg fuel consumption was 20.6miles/gal I was super impressed. Disclaimer obviously all freeway driving. City and traffic is another story. Think my long term average is about 17miles/gal
