I have h pipe on mine with no cats and stock resonator and mufflers. Same deep throaty sound just alittle louder

xpipe, for that race aggressive sound that screams
hpipe, for that deep rumble gurgle sound

xpipe, more power...i personally dislike the sound of H-Pipes, but some love them and hate the sound of X-Pipes. to each his own.

Sorry no I don't. The h pipe is right around where the secondaries used to be.

Two Torque Monsters...E55/Viper
X-Pipe if you plan to upgrade mufflers will keep it less raspy

Doesn't really bother me. Can you smell it, yes but it's not that bad. Only time I really smell it is when I get out if the car and its idling. To me now the exhaust sound is perfect. It's not obnoxiously loud but you can tell the difference. I even had some C63 mufflers and resonators but decided not to put them on.

To piggy back on this thread,

If I want to remove just the secondary cats and leave the resonator intact in my 63, what style piping would be best for me?

That's what I thought about the car I saw w/o cats. Yes, you can smell it, but not horrible as others describe. Maybe each car is a little different? Or the tune makes a difference? But the sound is great, deep and throaty. Got a sound/video clip? Still have the 63 mufflers?

I don't have any sound/video clips. I only ever access the forum on my phone. Not sure if I can post clips from phone. The smell is about the same pre and post tune. Yes I still have the c63 mufflers and resonators.

Are you planning to sell them? I keep going back and forth. I have a video clip but only see how to upload pics! I'd like you to hear it and tell me if yours sounds like that too. A little NASCAR I'd say and I mean that in a good way.

no cats oddly smells worse on a 4cyl than it does with my E63.
