Carbon Fiber/Cosmetic Advice
Hello!
I am a new owner of a 2006 E55 with 55k. I am just getting started in this very vast and confusing world of mods for the car. I really want to get the car thoroughly checked and make sure everything is mechanically sound and on the up and up before I start any performance oriented mods but I would love to do some cosmetic mods in the meantime.
So my question is what is your opinion on the best cosmetic mods? I'm looking for recommendations on rear diffusers, front lips, and really any other things I may overlook that will set the car apart or you have had success with. I have seen some absolutely spectacular cars on here and would love to get started on mine.
My E55 is blue with blue leather if that makes any sort of difference.
Any input would be greatly appreciated! So far everyone has been rad! Thanks!

No hate torwards Gary, but most of them are the same drop ship china stuff. Theres only like 2 companies that offer "real" or none china diffusers, and honestly they look hideous. People use Gary because hes a nice guy, who offers a solid product at a solid price.

I bought some of my stuff from gary sunveer and was kinda disappointed with the complete lack of instructions, double sided tape and hardware. you're on your own for that.
They are the same as all the chinese/taiwan ones btw
I also bought some stuff from JBspeed thinking local was better then buying from china. but he simply takes your money, then ordered it for you from ebay, shipping from china. took 4 weeks 3 days to get my emblem
In addition, i lowered it, tinted it, and wrapped the roof with gloss carbon fiber
Having said that the look is much improved

Whatever I sell I stock them in my 30,000 sq ft warehouse in Pomona CA.

I know, I'm just saying.
Also, good luck just using double sided sticky tape. They need to be drilled and mounted.
Pretty sure doing my rear disffuser and front lip was the most stressful thing ive ever done on a car.

I would do it on a lift to make it easier --- I wouldn't trust tape at high speeds.
On the CLS55, the rear diffuser almost completely hides the tips and the "AMG" on them. I was very disappointed and ended up not installing it. I wish there were more options than the standard "china" one everyone sells.

Well aren't you a ray of sunshine. Ha ha. I appreciate the candor. Looking more closely at the back of the car I think I'd want to do the deal where you remove the existing and replace which looks like an absolute pain. I know DIY are available but still may not be worth the hassle. You are right that the double stick tape does not work. I've tried on previous vehicles and it never looks and/or fits well enough to make it worth it. That said I've seen some excellent carbon fiber work on vehicles here so I am never really sure. Maybe folks just have more skills then I do.

Beautiful vehicle. The silver and the carbon look amazing. Mine is very dark blue almost purple in some light so Im afraid it may not stand out as much as I'd like for the hassle/money. Thanks for sharing!

I still recommend at minimum doing the trunk spoiler. mine was 145 shipped from ebay seller " benz-vs-bmw " curent link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/131733916739?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I had my Suvneer front lip show up for my E63 today. It was much better quality than I expected and I feel that it was worth the money. Just got to get it mounted now.
