No option to change time on dash clock

2007 e63 Kombi. HK stock stereo, Denison 500s-BT adaptor to integrate my phone.
Trouble is, there is no option to change the time on the dash clock.
The option does not exist on the dash menu (as per many you tube videos), and the SERV button doesn't seem to do anything on the Comand unit - I assume the Denison unit has caused this, as I'm sure it used to work. How do I change the time? Is there an option somewhere to add the time changing bit to dash options?
I plan to bin the HK system completely as the sound quality is shockingly bad. How they ever charged extra for the junk system is beyond me.
Anyway, playing with different ideas from a cheapo Chinese Android unit (but again worried about sound quality on the pre-outs) to a double-din Alpine all singing 7" touchscreen thing. I will replace the amps and speakers all round. It seems I can get all the options I need including steering wheel button integration, the only thing missing is the ability to adjust that damn clock!
Anyone got any hints? Cheers!

pg 171 calls out the specifics. You must disable time sync with the headunit in order to set the time via the steering wheel.

You will need to code the cluster clock option using STAR DAS If you remove the factory stereo and install an after market one.
