http://www.loringtiming.com/ This is a great event if you are in the Northeast. This will be my 4th year with several different cars. Last May brought cool temps in the 55-65 range and unlimited runs. Not as busy in May as July. Anyone interested ? I know Racehorse is a maybe and Sic Amg
last time I heard was planning on it.

Top speed events are a ton of fun; if you haven't done one before, I highly recommend it. Last year was my first time at the ShiftS3ctor Airstrip Attack in Oregon, but my Benz was down so I had to take my wife's Carrera. I managed 131mph. Totally worth it!

MB Rush, do you have any 1/2 mile times on your car? We have similar mods and I still don't know what to expect out of the E55 on a 1/2 mile run.

It's VERY tempting and it is on my mind. I have a few things to work out first before I am fully committed. It would be nice to see if I could pick up a few MPH. I would only need another 1.5 MPH to beat the Renntech CL65 1 mile record. It is a long trip to the middle of no where, but the organizers are great guys and there are not many places around with nearly a 13,000 foot runway! Have you made any changes to the car since your last visit?

Would really like to see you beat that record. The changes on my car are a larger throttle body only. After several different tunes it ran 3 tenths quicker in the 1/4 and 3-4 miles faster than the set up for last May. Anything north of 180 would be nice ! Hoping to promote some interest. Last year I think I was the only car in supercar at the May Event.

Really had my heart set on this event but the distance and cost to get there, rent a truck ,trailer, hotel, higher speed tires and other safety equipment pushed me to the Slipstream 1/2 mile roll race at Pocono Raceway. Hope you guys do well !!

If they allow you in the super car class you will only need a few things. Rated helmet, fire extinguisher, neck roll, head sock, and gloves. Drive your car up. It's not the same type of breakage as 1/4 mile since there is no track prep. You should have speed rated tires already unless you are running white walls. Lol. With that all said, I haven't fully committed yet. I will make my final decision next week. Hopefully everything works out and I can make it.
