E63 guys where are you?
There isn't much talk on E63's so i just wanted to see what everyone's been up to, updates, progress, issues or anything.
I just loaded the V6 EC tune, secondary cat delete, K&N filters and cut the plastic out of stock air boxes to make a "row" air box. In a few days primary cat will be off (cant wait) i left the resonator on to keep the sound under control
Next up is nitrous
Thoughts on thermal spacers?
The threads on the OBX ebay headers died, anyone have them?
Anyone been to the track lately?
Lets get a thread going!

We just don't get to do as much tweaking as the force fed boys do. As you can see in my sig, I've done some stuff. Updated with EC too. Not gonna spray it; just a personal choice.
My AMG tech buddy has a C63 M156 with a Wesitec blower on it. I've driven it and it certainly is very nice. Gives that low end grunt mostly missing with just N/A and really kinda transforms it. But then again, so did tubes and tune. I dunno, though. A few guys on here say don't waste the money on blowing it, but my buddy loves his and I must admit, it is nice. On the fence, cause I've been eyeing CL65's as well.
Thermal spacers, as in the ones that go on the air boxes? If so, put your helmet on when you ask that. Check over in the W204 section for really heated debate.
Love my '63. May get buried in it. BUT, that doesn't mean I don't want an E55, too! Those guys have all the fun.

I'm on the 4th year of my E63. Last year I made it my weekend warrior got replaced with my daily driver smart. After driving the smart all week, the feeling of getting into the AMG really enhances it by that much. Even tho its stock I still have a lot of fun with it.
When it gets a little warmer I'll prob take some more updated pics and post her up on ebay see what the market is at. If she sticks around I'll look into working on the exhaust.
I've been really torn tho. Most of the videos of the m156 with resonator deletes sound a little too raspy for my taste. I really want that signature gurgle at low end without losing the low end back pressure.

don't worry ... m156 is awesome. way smoother delivery ...back to back to back pulls pulls and pulls. amazing noise.
most of time its just as fast. had a c63 and it was an awesome motor. adding a sc on it makes a complete beast but ..... why .. its already a beast. I would save that 10k and put towards the next car.

great way to achieve that sound is to just do a secondary cat delete. no rasp and not much louder. Sounds the way it should stock.

Agreed, I did this, and added a full 2.75" crossover where they used to live. The exhaust note is like a pitbull in a 3 piece suit.

I've had the E63 stored for three plus months. So a little cleaning etc.. I swear the tires were square when I first took it out. What do you guys do when/if you store yours? I put 50lbs in the tires, maybe some carpet remnants under the tires? Or jack it up enough to take weight off the tires but still on the ground? Anyway it seems to be going away after a few drives.
I hate to cut into a perfectly good exhaust system but a little more aggressive sound would be welcome. What would a good price be for secondary cat delete and do you need to add a cross/X pipe?

I was going thru the usual fluid checks just last week. Anyone else have a thirsty engine? Had to top off 1 quart of 0w40.

Fila0220, I put the battery on a tender and she started right up. Seems like I'm always dropping it off for a new oil leak repair, so never driven it long enough to check oil consumption. I've only put 6K miles on it since I purchased in Dec 2015. Stored 3 months, drove it 9 months, then stored three again.

I don't really have any plans to do any performance stuff to mine. Might do a tune, but that'd be it.
