It is a fairly comprehensive guide that I sent you in PM. If it is a plug and play unit the instructions should explain how to do it. If it is designed for US model cars then you will need to use my guide and wire it from scratch.

Hi
I discovered this video on YouTube, and after this video, I then built my radio.
Is a great help.
A question when I turn my ignition key to 0. Ignition Off practically there is a muffled sound from the speakers. As if there would be such a contact. What did I do wrong

If you used the fibre optic network the speakers are still active even with the ignition off. Only when the key fob is removed does it turn off.

Hi
OK thanks.
one more question, I have a Versterker in the back left and in the rear shelf a large subwoofer. The subwoofer only works very weak, but the speakers in the interior are pretty quiet.
How is the amplifier connected to the Android.
Thank you

I have a US model 2005 E55 with HK sound. I have a xtrons head unit i have everything working radio canbus but no sound. I have loop on fiber cable, no sound, please help. Does the canbus control the sound?

Could you please elaborate on how you set up the fibre loop.
Canbus controls communication throughout the car like when to turn the radio on, steering wheel controls wake up on unlock, door opening etc. The fibre loop is a separate system for audio to the amp, from the CD stacker, phone etc.

Help / advice needed
Hi Peter, I just saw your thread from a while ago regarding your work in replacing your centarl comand.
I am in teh Netherlands and thought a local advice might help. I recently got my hands on a W211 from 2009 taht was built for the japanese market. Woudl like to replace the central comand as well but could benefit from some advice as you have gone through the pain process . Dos and Don'ts ...
Thanks

I recently bought an E55 wagon in Germany witch was originally produced for the Japanese market. I decided to change the comand with a unit from Xtrons since it retains the OEM look. The unit comes with 3 different looms but my car is wired in a different way, something unique for the Japanese market. So my only option is wiring everything myself .
Connecting the 12 volts is not a problem, and the steering wheel controls work with can bus. But I have no idea how the information from the radio is send back to the instrument cluster. Does this also work with the can bus module or is it wired in a different way?
If I can't get the stock HK amplifier to work I will simply replace it with a wired one, so I'm not worried about that at this point.
If I can't get the instrument cluster to work is it possible to deactivate those screens with the star software from Mercedes Benz?
Pieter
