This just looks like a generic code reader to me; definitely not STAR. From my STAR research you will have to spend $1000+

it says it will read trann, srs, etc etc so thought it may be a decent one lol

Star Diagnostic is typically a Tough Book, with a OBD II connection. Those are the cheap parts, its MB Star Diagnostic Software that is extremely expensive, along with the updates for each year and car model.

I got mine from Shardul. Excellent service and quick shipping. Full system and no issues connecting or working the software.

Looked at Aliexpress and others but did not want to spend the time getting everything set up, multiple passwords to unlock modules, buy a computer separately, etc.

I have a C3 mux box, full wiring for multiple models, and support that is in the same state!

I have one from AliExpress, if you can follow simple instructions and know how to use vmware its cheap and works like a charm.
