I am stuck in Sparta NC and need voltage regulator /Alternator
Like the title states, I got the Red Battery alert then the Stop Car / Check alternator message. In Star I see it connect green for a moment showing a charge possibility but then I am sure the brushes lose contact and voltage starts dropping.
Anyone willing to overnight a part?

I have a Bosch voltage regulator I keep as a spare and I'm willing to overnight it to you; you would be looking at a Monday morning delivery. Part number (003-154-65-06) shows as the same for both 2004 and 2005.

Worst case scenario, try Oreily's or something. I had to get an alternator from there and it looked to be a brand new bosch in an oreily brand box. So far so good. Just a suggestion if you are in a crunch. I did add the bosch regulator though.

Plan of action in place
@Barry you are awesome for stepping up to help another member out! It is much apprectiated.
I also appreciate the info on trying O'reileys I will call them today.
Plan in place as of now is to leave the car and await an entire Alternator just in case it is bad. I will return next week to replace it from top (Thanks HeissRod -I think- for the DIY

This place is a joke.
Go for the complete alternator, don't bother with the regulator on a 13 year old car. It can be changed easier from the bottom, I think you have to unbolt the steering rack and move it a little.

Always something with these cars...
Our love still continues to run deep no matter how we get burned. So the car is at my brothers wife's dads shop... so not my father in law but his. One cool guy, I told him I needed him to store the car indoors and J would get back asap. Bob said he had a lift with my name on it, So Tonight I ordered a spare Bosch regulator to keep on hand, another serpentine belt and Another Gates belt to keep in the trunk along with a stop light switch. I have a new Bosch Alternator AL0826X and new starter to put on while I am under there. Parts arrive Wednesday. I have a spare Aux AGM battery to bring also just in case as the main trunk battery is just a few months old.
I even thought of stealing my dads BCM from his trunk to make sure I wasn't going to have an issue and still
may knows...
Parts all get here on Wednesday and Thursday I make the trip back up to play on a family's lift. I got
lucky this could have happened either 1/2 up or 1/2 down on the trip aka tow truck for 200miles or a 3 week repair time.

Rebuilt Bosch Alt did the trick
Thanks guys for helping me get here, I would have hated (and so would have my gal) going back up there 2hr 25min trip 1way to just replace the regulator and be dead in the water still. The engine bay smelled like roasted plastic after I jumped it off to get it to the shop so I am sure the Alternator ate itself.
It it is always a feels good to replace the part that you are sure has failed and it actually fixes the symptoms you are experiencing. On to the next issue at hand... continuing rebuild of 722.6 :-)

oh, yea we all know it. These cars are parts goblins they love eating parts
I get it cranked back up and immediately notice the steering wheel tilt motor is jacked up and just whines
Forward / Aft movement works
Up/ Down just whines...
one more thing on the list I guess :-/
