E55 I NEED A CUSTOM TUNE NY
i got the canned tune from eurocharged, i wanna slap a 83mm but i will not run a canned tune im afraid of blowing it up, can someone give me a shop that wont over charge me. since when does a e55 custom tune cost 1100-1500$ i got quoted for 700$ in total from eurocharged in Houston with canned tune cost so literally i was paying another 300$ for dyno time thats it. but im in NY

I don't think it's as much about age - this is a more complicated and lesser tuned car than a platform like an Evo, Subaru, or Audi/VW. You're paying more for someone with knowledge of a more specialized platform. These cars still haven't been modified as throughly as something with wider appeal - on a Subaru you can run two step/ALS through the factory ECU but on an E55 the 83mm throttle body still isn't perfected across the board. That's why we're stuck paying higher prices.

and why in the world does the canned tune suck? Our canned tunes are based off dyno tunes of other cars, and fully customized to the individual car (gas, mods, elevation)
Sure dyno tuning will yield a little better result, but not to the extent you think.

Idk i thought i would've noticed a difference, plus it gives a nice lump on idle thought the tuning would knock that out, and i asked for a CEL light removal all my friends who have similar catless setups told me jerry was able to remove it for them on a canned tune, I'm not extending the sensors thats to much work. Sucks is not the word its just not what i want thats all, i need to be at a dyno and see how my car is running and what power I'm making and i want everything perfected to the fullest.

We can code out a cel but you still will show not ready for emissions. You can also just throw some o2 extenders in and it should take care of that for ya. Easy and cheap to do.
and ya makes sense, it there is anything we can do to help let me know

Lump on idle is most likely a boost leak, get that checked

You would just pay for the shops dyno time and then we charge a custom fee of $100 an hour to tune since you already have the base tune
