So about a week ago I was leaving the local subway and a random guy walks up to me as I am putting my kids in the car. He starts asking me a few questions about my car, you know the usual how long have you had it have you done anything to it? Blah blah blah. So I entertain his questions because I honestly love talking about the car. So he goes on to tell me that he used to have a e55 and he sold it because he was going through hard times, he was moving and everything else. Then he tells me that he has a few parts for the car and asked if I wanted them. I asked what he had and he told me he had a full exhaust, long tubes, x-pipe, no cats, and an ftp heat exchanger. So I enquired as to how much. Well he told me that he would give them to me for the low price of FREE!!! We exchanged numbers and I went home.
After I got home I texted him asking if he had pictures of everything, true to form, he sent me pictures of everything. We set up a time and a place, met up, he helped me load up the parts and we parted ways.
now comes the fun part of installing all of the goodies.
So today I started on cleaning up the back half of the exhaust since it was used. So I washed it down and scuffed it up so that I could paint it. Just to clean it up.

I do plan on returning the favor. He has a friend that is having some electrical problems on his boat. Seeing as I am an electrician it is right up my alley.
I unfortunately have to wait till after the weekend to finish painting everything. I am going to install the painted stuff first. I want to get a tune set up before I install the headers. That way I can have the rear O2 sensors coded out. Plus I want to get the headers ceramic coated as well. I will post sound clips as things progress.

He sold the car and had hArd times and you took the parts and gave the guy no money not even for good faith ??mmm ok.. That was really nice of the guy .The headers will give the best gains that exhaust does zero just maybe little tone ..Not a huge fan of that boat achor he ,but it's decent ..You'll have fun after
When he confronted me about them I asked him more than a few times how much he wanted and he insisted. Plus he was moving and he even said that if I didn't take them he would be throwing them into the dumpster.
