My 2 Cents working with VRP purchasing performance parts

Wanted to give props to the Owner of VRP- Phil. To date I have ordered up 76MM Pulley, Belt Wrap Kit, VRP V2 Heat Exchanger, Trunk Tank, Methanol Injection, Ported Throttle Body / SC Snout, Tune Cable & Tune Software, 5 Piece Idler Pulley Set, Looped Fuel Rail, and Lastly MBH Longtube Headers plus Mid Section.

Phil has been SUPER informative and always answers my calls. I'll let you all know how the Mods turn out once installed over the next couple of weeks! I have been in the service industry my entire life. Seems like good service is hard to come by these days. Thought I would let all of you know a positive experience.

Happy 4th of July All!

Tom

Old thread, how did you find the 5 piece pulley kit? Install fine? Bearings still going strong?
Only reason I ask is that I have seen other people complain about the bearings giving out early with some other kits.

I judge service more on how they deal with problems that may arise rather than point of sale. Although its good to hear presales is good there.

I bought my Euroteck rear diffuser through VRP. There were delays and it took a lot longer than originally expected to arrive (not their fault). They had great communication the whole time and answered all my questions. I'd definitely buy from them again.

I still need to get it installed. I kind of forgot about it as it's been tucked away in my shed.

I have never bought anything from them before but I was thinking of trying their 5 pulley kit later on in the year. They seem to have orange NSK bearings, same as eurocharged (who only seem to have a 3 pulley kit). I have read some complaints about the bearings wearing very prematurely in the UPD kits which are a different color. Other than comparing color (very scientific) the details are a bit sparse.

Maybe I will start a dedicated thread to this question when I am ready to buy, I just happened to come across this single post thread from last year.

I got these from Shardul about a year ago and they have the orange Nachi bearings. I think the non sealed high speed bearings (silver) were wearing prematurely IIRC.

Thank you that is very helpful. Obviously yours are still working perfectly?

I have the 3 set and the bwk. I think the extra tension from beltwrapkit causes premature wear of the tensioner pulley spring but its still operational. Pulley/bearings showing no wear in 10-20k kms and like ayear or so..

Which kit did you go with? In continuing with our scientific rigor, are they the orange bearings? I don't think I will get a BWK as I doubt I will go smaller than the 83mm anytime. I only have 45,000km but the pulleys are a bit rusty.
