Engine output a 9 and not a 10? Give me a break! Still not bad article overal but there is a huge performance defecit being down 75 hp and 183 ft.lbs of torque. Now way can the Maz overcome that especially with their known reliability problems. Sorry, e55 still wins and that's not a homer call.

I am not sure that potential buyers of the Maserati and XKR are cross shopping the E55. Perhaps the correct comparison would be to the S55.

I believe that the buyer of a Maserati or Jaguar is more concerned with style than performance, and taken on this basis, the E55 is out of place. The E55 is the greatest four door speed appliance known to man. It goes about its job in a conservative and low key manner, surprising and surpassing all competitors in this regard.

You can talk all day about the other stuff, but all us E55 junkies care about is our dominance at the stop light gran prix.

Car & Driver is off on some weird directions lately. Did you recall the comparison test of the large sedans ("What would Dick Grasso drive?") where they picked the Lexus #1?

I'm sure that the Maser looks great but nothing ruins owning a car faster than poor reliability.....

Not to mention the resale which you know will be horrible.

I don't know about you guys, but I think the Maz. is UGLY!! The lines in front around the hood and back the the B-pillar is okay, but from the C-pillar back, it reminds me of a Caddy!!
