Which suspension parts need maintenance?q
What are the names of the components that need replacing to bring the car up to spec (front and rear)?
A simple bulleted list would help please... as for the sourcing I believe FCP Euro would be optimal with the lemforders and such?

Go back to the main W211 Amg page.
All the way to the top..... about 5 sticky threads down you’ll see a “common replacement maintenance parts- all in one thread”.
It might have what you need.

Pretty much anything with a bushing is going to wear out and need replacement, control arms, thrust arms ball joints, etc.

I sent an message to FCP Euro via their website regarding this exact question as I was looking to completely refresh the front and rear suspension on my E320, but never received a response so I placed an order for what I thought might be enough to do the front suspension for now.
It'd be nice if they had a comprehensive control arm bushing kit to do all four corners like they have for ball joints.

My buddy was a Benz master tech, he now works for a motorcycle company but he told me the ball joints in these need to be replaced often. That and engine mounts. My car has 32.5k miles on it so its pretty tight and he said it will need to be done at 40k.

To be honest if your stock stuff goes bad I would maybe look into some coils as the stock stuff fails to much .If you love the ride feel then stick with bags etc .Thers a sticky as mentioned on this but mostly it’s the pump and bags need to be replaced a times

Morning all, this is your front suspension in a nutshell. If you are looking to refresh your suspension I would recommend starting here.

No worries, the prices during the cyber week sale more than made up for it. But while I have your attention, I ordered two Lemforder 2113331914 and two Lemforder 2113331114. Would those four bushings replace the bushings in the "516432" control arms you listed above?

In the last 6 months, we have had my car on the lift to replace rear toe control links. That's it. But in front, we have replaced upper and lower balljoints, lower control arms, tierod end links, swaybar links, and we'll be doing engine mounts yet again, soon as I re-find the source for the urethane filled mounts because I grow weary of engine mounts as wear items. It sure goes down the road nicely now...
