MBH has arrived !!!!

Hard to see the spike and collector but their there no doubt

Hand smoothed primaries

Full 4 into 1 collector

Great looking pipes

Very nice looking bends .... very smooth

Great looking flange

Love the collector extension
Well guys today i was surprised by the UPS man with my new set of MBH headers an midpipe.

I would like to take a moment to address some things that were brought up in my thread when i was trying to decide which headers to go with.

First off the MBH headers DO in fact have a real collector 4 pipes into a collector

Second off the MBH headers DO in fact have a merge spike in there as well.

Their welds look beautiful and all primary ports are hand smoothed.

i have no complaints at all about the build quality, the materials used, as for fit an finish i havent installed em yet but they look like they will fit nicely.

I did take them to my stepdad whos a 35 year experienced steel welder and asked him bout his thoughts on the quality of the welds an materials. He said they looked amazing an had some of the best welds hes seen in a good while and followed that up with he can see that its quality steel. Now im no expert on steel or welds for that matter but what i can say is ive had many many muscle cars, sports cars, turboed imports and the like. I have outfitted all with headers or expensive turbo mannys an that includes from places like greddy, hks, american racing, jb, hooker, hedman, an many others an i can say MBH is definitely on the top when i look for quality, and workmanship.

As for what will they make .... well i have zero doubts they will make what they claim ... hell its the ONLY header with a lifetime warranty, and the ONLY header that comes with a hp gain guarentee. To which i may add they have yet to have to fix a cracked header or refund for the hp guarentee.

may be installing these tomorrow im hoping 😁

I wish the E63 headers weren't so expensive, $3000 for 40hp is hard to swallow.

It's the craftsmanship you pay for not the hp gains.
Those are bad *** headers for sure.

I guess the craftsmanship in the E63 pipes are worth $1000 more than the E55 then? All the headers seem to be this way, the E63 pipes are sometimes twice as expensive as the E55s.

It's basically the only mod that you CAN do on an E63, pays to do it right.

Oh I agree with you. Parts prices for these cars are crazy.

There's also more competition on the E55 for headers, market demand drives the price.

If I didn't have to worry about smog in this stupid state I'd have a set of long tubes on mine by now.

install went flawless the headers hit NOWHERE .... the fit was better than expected steering shaft cleared beautifully!!!

look at the pathetic 1.3 inch primary in the stock manny primaries .... the very small collector if thats what you want to call it 1.6 inches ACROSS!! I cant believe the car could do as well as it could with those manifolds on

look how great the drivers side fits

pathetic 1.3 inch primary opening

mmmm going from a 1.5 outlet too a 2.75 inch collector HELL YEAH!!

Nice looking install.
How long did it take?
Did you consider ceramic coasting the headers or not really necessary?

well i did take my time making sure it was all fitted nice before tightening and making sure to get new exhaust gaskets on manifolds and where it mates into the resonator. but it took bout 2 and half hours in all if i added it all up. I took a couple breaks to eat ... warm up cause it was 18 degrees outside in the garage a bit higher but not much lol. But it was very easy .... everything fit nice and all was high quality even the band clamps were a nice robust unit not like those rinky dink ones u get in like a magnaflow set. I do plan on ordering C clamp connections and having them welded in for easy of removal and install as well as good looking and less leak prone. But just barely got my new tune as im typing to install so i can start it .... i have no cats now so didnt want a cel so ill report back.

I dont feel theres a need to do ceramic coating

Wow, only 2-1/2 hours. I've been calling local Indie shops about installing the mid-length headers I ordered from Eurocharged. They all want at least $700 and are allowing for around 6 hours. That doesn't even include the welding in of the downpipes. Starting to think I'll do the install myself. I did headers on my old Honda Accord - can't be that difficult on my Merc. Did you use a lift E55amg0220?

sure was i didnt have to do anything but install .... an fit an finish are perfect not to mention the sound is GREAT not obnoxious but definitely sounds better. Zero loss of low end ... great power throughout ... i havent noticed any bad gas smells or any annoying exhaust leaks. As i said even though it looks great an fits amazing ill be installing some race cats an some vband connections for better fit .... better looks ... an ease of install an disassembly.
