Purchased American Racing Headers, X- pipe, and mid section, thanks $3,000.00 shipped. However I found them on ebay an hour later for $2,772.42 free shipping go figure .

some will argue and this and that but AR headers is the best performance and sound wise on a m156

how? LOL. the quality of the AR header is incredible and the company and owner are stand up. not saying anything bad about MBH as your products look good but do some research on dyno/track numbers. as of right now i want you to show me a e63 making more power or faster than mine and i have OBX headers that are a copy of AR

I know you're not saying anything bad about us. As far as I know, AR headers us 18 gauge stainless steel tubing, we use thicker 16 gauge stainless steel. This offers better heat retention inside the tubes and better overall durability. Added with or 100% TIG welding process where AR Header use MIG welding on the collectors. AR headers are not bad and their design works for their business model. We on the other hand want to use the best materials and build processes when we make stuff. If you ask me to do research, I've spent the past 10+ years researching what works for header systems on a m156 equipped AMG. 8 years ago we were putting down over 600 wheel horsepower on Dyno Dynamics dynos. As tuning advanced we were supporting 650+ then then into the 700 and beyond wheel horsepower range with some of these build. Numbers that really require a header that can take the abuse and flow like crazy. At these numbers and heat cycle after heat cycle other headers and definitely the OBX headers would simply fail. We have had our headers on so many record setting AMG I cant even keep track. With C63's running 9 second 1/4 mile. For your AMG with an M156 engine there really is no better header system than the one we make. However if you are having fun with your car the way it is that that's all that matters.

wonderful response but 600whp? all motor? probably not. either way you guys make a fantastic product.
