2005 E55 AMG low mileage leap of faith
I just bought an ‘05 E55 AMG site unseen. No PPI as I was up against some serious competition for this car and time was a factor. It has 13000 miles on it and has been only driven in summer. The back seats have never been used and that’s really all I know. My buddy went over with cash for the Bill of Sale as I’m unable to fly in to pick it up till Tuesday. My pictures to follow next week when I pick it up.

You sir are a lucky man! If it's the one I'm thinking of, I seriously considered dumping my C63 for it! I would strongly recommend you wait until the weather gets better before taking it out on the road -- otherwise make friends with stone chips...

I really doubt its been rolled back but one never truely knows. She’s a nurse and lives in a very nice house. My friend met her and thought she was great and looked over the car. He doesn’t know anything about these cars but said it smelled new and looked new, so we will see. If I got taken by a sweet ‘ol nurse then this will go down as a great life lesson. I get the service records tomorrow and am currently booked in for an after purchase PPI that I might still do. I booked it at the dealership it was not serviced at.

She told me the rear bumper was replaced after it was dinged in 2015. On the carfax it said 9000 miles on OD at this time. I’m guessing this means absolutely nothing but I will throw that out there to the knowledgeable brain trust in this forum, of which I’m greatly appreciative of for the guidance here.

I haven’t given it much thought. Just trying to figure out how to get it home. Weather hasn’t been good here so I may see tomorrow how keen they are on storing it awhile longer. Otherwise I’ll have to find storage near it. You are correct on the roads here being awful this time of year. I sent you a PM, by the way.

Judging by the appearance of the engine bay, it does look consistent for a car with 13,000 miles driven in better weather. More importantly however is that the services need to be done on it. I'd replace every fluid and bring the car back to life very slowly and cautiously.
It may be pre-mature to say, but so far, it seems like you found a low mileage jewel.
Does she have the original wheels/tires?
