Real World power gains with a dedicated E85 set up on M113K

who out there is running a dedicated E85 only set up , ? Not a flex fuel gas/E85 system , a real dedicated return line E85 only set up AND is running high HP numbers / time slips etc on the M113K engine , was thinking of experimenting over the summer but I’m guessing crickets on this one , please no sales pitches I am aware of the flex fuel system ,not looking for that , thanks

I have driven over 40k miles on other e85 converted vehicles. I have tuned ECUs to run on e85 and I have replaced the parts needed to have reliability consuming the fuel long term. I have not yet run e85 on the MB but plan to. Very interested in the responses that may be offered.

With the opportunity to advance timing, or if you are sure - and committed - one could, if possible, reduce the amount of timing retard the ECU will call - because the retard would not be needed. There will be little/no detonation up to around 140 degrees- 150 degrees of IAT.
Another opportunity is just simple general advancing of timing while running higher-than-pump acceptable boost levels.
People swap over but when the support or understanding is there, running a bunch of Meth (instead - "In addition to" is still a great idea) is a more worn path.

I'll go ahead and jump on this thread because I want to learn about this as well.

Do the cooling properties of E85 remove the need for meth injection? Do people run both, or is it one or the other?

I think some perspective is required. Success with e85 is a few parts and a tuning session. Nothing more. It is the wonder fuel everyone say it is - but less than 8000 E55s were made. There just is not a large enough sample group. Sure - the engine is in more cars - but those don't get modified as much.

E85 = more fuel and more boost/timing with concern over hot spots and leanness.

I have many of the pieces to do this. With petrol going past 4 bucks and CA only 91 octane - it just makes sense.

What do you mean, Eurocharged did have success with E85, they made huge numbers on the stock SC. I don't know if you're talking about reliability but the power and especially torque is there.

Reach out to Tony at Race IQ. He has tuned some for E85 but last I recall he didn’t favor it due to variances in E85 mixes. Craig aka Chawkins had his setup for E85

E85 is ****ing awesome. On my old car it runs 35psi all day everyday like a dream.

I've been out of the States with my E55 or I'd certainly persue E85 if it we're available.

I was asking who has had success with E85 on this engine with high hp/ time slips , low 10s high 9s ,?
i don’t think there is anyone, so for now I will leave my set up and continue my research on It to one day maybe make the switch,if I do use it it will be a race version of it to maintain consistency.

All I have is an 88mm pulley and some K&N filters. I am going to get the VRP kit soon.
