Going to Dyno My E55 (UPDATE DYNO DONE)

Before I put on a smaller pulley and re tune it, I want to dyno the car with what it has now. I have a EC Tune, No Mufflers and HighFlow Filters so basically not much. I'll either probably dyno the car on a dynojet tomorrow or Monday. I'm picking a shop close to my work because It's convenient. I'm not expecting much maybe 380rwhp on a dynojet. Down the road my good friend has a Charger SRT and we want to take it to the track and that's what I'm really looking forward too. I will post the numbers here when its done, crossing fingers it pulls decent numbers.

Went and put the car on the Dyno today. Dynojet outside temp was 82-85 degrees. Car was cooled down for 15min before the runs. He had an issue trying to do it the first couple of times with his computer. He actually did 2 pulls all the way to the limiter but never recorded anything.
1st Run in 4th Gear 434 RWHP & 483 RWTQ
2nd Run in 3rd Gear 432 RWHP & 435 RWTQ this run he had issues and the TQ reading is off. He says it kept wanting to downshift, I told him to just select 3rd and keep it in 3rd but it didn't happen.
3rd Run in 4th Gear 429 RWHP & 427 RWTQ

Only mods I have is K&N filter, SuperFlow Pump, No muffler and EC Tune. Skip to the :50 mark on the video.

Pretty good numbers for a basically stock car with a tune. I need to get mine on a dyno. Do you have any time slips to see what that beast is running in the quarter?

I love to see the progress you've been making with this car. Keep it up!!!!

Thanks 03renntechamg, I don't I wish. Me and a friend want to go one of these days. He's got a 2017 Charger 6.4 Scatpack. If not ill have to see if there is anything near me and just go alone and see what it does. I was really surprised I really wasn't expecting the numbers. Before my IC pump the car ran terrible, single best mod I've done on any car with that much noticeable difference in power just by changing the pump.

Pretty good! For comparison, I have a 2006 E55, 94k miles. Only mod is EC tune. Stock airfilter, stock intake, stock exhaust. Everything else stock. full tank of Sam's Club 93 octane Had mine dynoed on Dynojet a few weeks ago. Temps were almost exactly the same as yours. (Im in Virginia).
My best was my first run
"477.79 ft/lb's at 46.12 speed"
"437.30HP at 158.85 speed"

437rwhp is really good not bad for our cars being mostly stock. Once i get to 460-480rwhp I’ll be happy with that. Atleast i have a starting point and i dont think getting another 30-40rwhp is gonna be difficult. I still need to do a couple of cooling mods before a pulley swap.

mine is a 2003, if you have an Instagram pm me it. I was thinking on keeping the 55 bumper but I just made a deal with Eurocharged for a bunch of mods so I figured if my cars going to be aggressive might aswell buy an aggressive front bumper 👍🏼

those are insane numbers for a mostly stock car.

I have pulley, ,belt kit, colder plugs, split cooling, larger HE, ECU tune, kleemann long tube headers, all cats removed, and only hit 418rwhp and 472ft lbs on a mustang dyno

mustang dyno’s usually read about 30rwhp less. Even so and you were on a dynojet adding atleast 30rwhp it would be about 448rwhp. Still low reading, is your IC pump functioning properly? You know what your IAT’s are?. If you dont have any issues with IAT’s and the car is running right i would take it and see what it does 1/4 mile. Dyno is a basic way of knowing where your car is at but real test is a track. I bought a $20 dollar OBD2 reader downloaded dashcommand on my iphone and when i saw my IAT’s at cruising 165-170 degrees i was like🙁. It even got up to 195-205 degrees and then i was like😵

My temps stay well below that range
No track here for real world testing but I've smoked someone in an apparently modified 2013 boss302 mustang. He slowed down to shift into 2nd while merging on an open interstate so he could show off, so I followed suit and had my 6 year old wave at him as we blew by. Its definitely fast, but not sure how fast it should be.

Then I honestly wouldn't worry about your numbers you can blame it on the dyno operator or whatever else. If the car pulls good then your golden. I dyno most of my cars I've owned and only once I was really disappointed. I always still go to a dyno not expecting much, as long as my car is running good then I'm good. Now I'm just going to get a 2nd Heat Exchanger and do a 80mm pulley and call it a day. Maybe a ways down the road I'll do mid lengths or long tubes just not in the mood trying to look for someone to pass my smog so will have to go catted route.
