Problems with superflo pump from VRP
So as you all know few monthes back i got the superflow intercooler pump an posted up my logs n results. Its been great an suddenly out of the blue the thing dies on me. I have hardwired it to see if it was the wiring or the pump an the pump is dead. I have called and left a message for Phil an sent him a text cus i would think this thing has some sort of warranty considering it hasnt even been a year an less than 5000 miles. It was installed properly an wired perfect and so dont know what the cause was. But need it fixed as its making the cars IATs skyrocket so just driving it as a normal car. I would probably just go back to a 010 pump an still may but need the connector now as well since i cut it off for the new pump.

That sounds annoying. The superflo are a rebranded version of what I seem to remember is a good quality pump so they should stand by it.
I seem to remember you have quite a few mods, the Bosch 010 might not cut it if you have extra tanks.

yeah i was thinking the 010 may not work either but im not shelling out another 350 for a pump that hasnt been used less than a year an round 5000 miles.

I'm about to put my second CWA50 in series with my first CWA50 with a DTK monster heat exchanger over the next couple weeks. You can get them some where around 70-80 $ used on ebay then another $15 for the plugs and stuff from FCP Euro. Two of them should flow a little more than a single superflo for much less. Guess it just depends on how long the used pumps will last to see how effective it is. My first one has been going strong for... well must be close to a year now I think.
This guy has a 1 year warranty, and can probably get it for a bit less with make an offer: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Auxiliary-W...ry!89408!US!-1

It was simply a title .... meaning there is no implied warranty so therefore i am "hoping" there is for such an expensive part. So before trying to incite something thats not there stop reading into it in any other way than it is meant. I would never say anything rude or demeaning unless it was warranted. Me making a thread is simply a way to vent to fellow E55 owners of something that failed and shouldnt have so quickly. Maybe this failure is common an others have had this problem, then id know ahead about it and that this is expected. Maybe these pumps arent meant to be used for long periods of time, so then i hear bout it from other that it happens and its normal. Point is if i meant it in a rude or unprofessional manner my thread would not be so kindly put.

Dont see anywhere in my title or post where it was aggressive i simply stated what happened an what i did and what happened. Some of you ultra sensitive snowflakes that take it as such really may want to start reading things as their written rather than insert your own emotion. Not once did i get rude an say why hasnt he answered me ... not once did i blame him ... not once did i say he better take care of it. So maybe realize this post is simply a way to let others that have purchased this pump that it may fail prematurely and to watch them. I wouldnt have even know if it werent for the fact i decided to bleed the system and noticed it not coming on.

Well decided to remove the pump to see if there was any reason it may not be working an found the front propeller was moving in an out which let coolant seep inside an fried the electrical board inside it. Took off the back seal an its toast inside.
This is the electric board on the backside no coolant should be getting into this area and u can see the burn part of the board
This is the backside cover you can see where it shorted and burned the inside of the cover.

I dont mind paying the overnight cost just happy to have VRP once again prove all the ones that say he doesnt take care of his customers .... he proves again that he does. Thanks Phil an this is why ive stayed a loyal customer an go to him for all my parts.

yeah ive been a gym lover since highschool many years ago, its a nice way to get the stress out and stay in shape. I normally am a bit heavier round 260 or so but i have a show in Oct so leaning out im currently round 9.7% bodyfat but have to get down to 4% by show. So low carbs making me cranky haha. Im coming to florida cus my dad still competes in the masters so gunna come see him compete its his last show at 68 so want to be there for it. Hes the one that got me started.

completely agree carbs are great to get u big an strong they also are your enemy if u consume too many when your trying to lean out .... least in my case.
