Differential pinion bearings replacement

MBWorld Fanatic!
glad she runs again.
On another note you say it turns 3,000 rpm at 55mph in 5th gear. There is something wrong if that is the case as it should be much lower. You sure it's not 2,000 rpm and not 3,000 ?
Glad it's back on the road again for you.

SICAMG, I referred to 3.06 and LSD, meaning I changed from 2.82 Ring and Pinion Gear originally paired with my 722.9 Tranny to the 3.06 ring (meaning 3.06 revolutions of the driveshaft per every wheel rotation) and added a Limited Slip Differential to the mix. And yes, I am sure it’s a 3.06 as I extracted them from a 09’ SRT8 Challenger Diff (made by Daimler) and installed them myself. As for the 55mph at 3k, ok maybe it’s closer to 2900, but I can take it clear up to 100 floored, plenty of range beyond that with 6 and 7th. (I double checked and your right SIGAMG!! It's in 4th gear (NOT 5th Gear!), that the 3.06 Diff Gears go 55mph @ 3K rpm, 73 mph at 4K rpm and 95mph @ 5K rpm!!) So there is certainly NOTHING wrong as the slightly shorter gear change makes for spirited driving even on slower roads. No regrets here!
