Flint Grey / gunmetal wheel color combo?

Anyone running gunmetal wheels on a flint grey E55?
Currently running chromed stock wheels and wanting to make a change.
I like the idea of gunmetal wheels but not if it clashes too much with the car color.
I've searched the internet for days and every page on the wheel thread and didn't see what I was looking for.
If anyone has pics of this combo please post.

That's a great looking E55, not a color you see all the time. I'd leave the stock rim color on them. I don't care for the flats, chrome rims etc. but that's just me.

Thanks! Mine aren't the brushed silver stock rims, they are the chromed stockers. The chrome looks good when its clean, but after a day of driving they look terrible and I'm just tired of the upkeep.
I see lots of grey E55s with black wheels but not sure I want to go down that road.
I had black wheels on my blue Dodge Ram and it looked OK.
Was thinking gunmetal... darker than silver, but not black. Just afraid it would look weird on a grey car.
I'ver tried the wheel configurators but they don't give an exact color representation.

Flint grey E55 owner here, I have a similar decision to make. Currently my wheels are spray painted satin black by the previous owner, they look pretty crappy. I'm going to powdercoat them and was initially thinking OEM finish silver. But now, also considering gloss black or gun metal for a bit more of a sporty/mean look. Anybody got more pictures to help me decide? OP - did you wind up painting your wheels gun metal?
